Hi we were looking at making ressies for the Garden Grove (Swan) for character dinner dining - any thoughts? We are open to suggestions. We will be staying one night at Disney before going on the Cruise then coming back for another week. Our DD will be 11 so I'm looking mainly at one character dining experience and then maybe one or two good sit downs (maybe one with the Fantasmic show). Any suggestions would be appreciated it. I saw the post about the new Beauty and the Beast but wonder how to make ressies for that. We will be there the first week of July!!:cool1:

Thank you!

Are you staying at the Swan or Dophin? If so then this makes since otherwise I would choose a different character meal. Chef Mickey's is the best (IMO) Fun, all the main characters, monorail. If you are going to one of the parks maybe there is a character meal there? The food is about the same for all character meals (buffet) so what really matters is conveince and which characters you want to see.:goodvibes

Yes, if you are not staying at the Swan, then you have a lot of great character options in the parks...

If you are looking for Princesses for DD, then Akershus is awesome and has good food too.

Crystal Palace also has good food and variety, and great Winnie the Pooh character interaction. Also, we have never felt "rushed" when eating there. In fact, we like it so much we often eat there twice in one trip.

Finally, Tusker House in AK has great character interaction too.

IMO, Chef Mickeys is okay, but we won't be eating there again. The characters flew by us, didn't play with the kids and the service was pretty bad. Food was okay for breakfast, but we definitely felt "rushed" out the door.

We are actually staying at AK so maybe I'll take a closer look at he Tusker house. How was the food?

We have eaten there for breakfast, which was a great buffet. It's only a character meal for breakfast. Lunch and Dinner it's just a meal.(Not 100% of that but pretty sure) Check it out on allears.net to make sure or on disney website.:goodvibes
