Which of the character dining experiences are your KIDS favourites? I think I am going to book 2 character meals. 1 breakfast and one dinner.

So which character experience did your family enjoy the most?

(They are not interested in Lilo and Stitch, and we are booking Ohana for our anniversary dinner so that one is not an option)

Thanks!!!

Am I werid for enjoying this whole Disney planning process! Right from the rooms to every single meal :lmao:

Not really a "kid" but my teen loved Cape May Cafe for breakfast! They had great food and terrific character interaction. All the characters even came around twice, and that was during Spring Break time!

We love Crystal Palace. Food is fantastic!!! It is also a plus to have the Pooh Characters there. We eat there at least twice a trip!

Have Fun!

Oh and one more quick and probably dumb question.

What does ADR stand for?

? dining reservation......for the life of me I can't figure out what the "a" stands for

Our favorite was Tusker House - it was great being in Animal Kingdom before rope drop. The food was delicious and the characters were very good. If your ADR is early enough you can catch one of the first safari rides since the entrance is just outside the restaurant. (Or you can send someone out for fast passes at 9am.)

A pre-rope drop ADR for Crystal Palace is also great!

Crystal Palace brkfst is our favorite - good buffet featuring puffed french toast :worship:, bright/open atmosphere, good character interaction with Pooh & friends, get an early adr on a non-emh day and you can be done in time for rope drop :thumbsup2

We don't really have a favorite dinner character meal but our 2 favorite character breakfasts are Cape May Cafe at the BC and Akershus breakfast. We love to get an early ADR for Akershus (before park opens) because you can get some really awesome pictures with hardly anyone in it (it is like having the park to yourself). If I did have to choose one dinner character meal, we did enjoy Garden Grill at Epcot a lot. The food was o.k. IMAHO, but the service and the character interaction made up for it ten fold. BTW, I have heard many great things about Crystal Palace breakfast (especially before the park opens) so I booked an ADR (8:05am) for our September trip and we are really excited about it, this will be our first time having breakfast here :goodvibes

For breakfast - I would go for Donalds Safari breakfast at the Tusker House. The food is good. Great character experience as well.

For dinner - either Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's.

My DD loves Crystal Palace dinner and either the breakfast or the dinner at 1900 Park Fare (different characters at each).

We also really like CRT for lunch, Akershus for breakfast. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's was okay, but seemed a little rushed.

This year we are trying Tusker House in the hopes of seeing Daisy.

I think our son's favorite was Hollywood and Vine (breakfast), as he loves Little Einsteins. He also the other ones, too, but that was probably his favorite. (As for me, toss-up between Crystal Palace, Tusker House, and Akerhaus breakfasts.)

Chef Mickey's is our kids favorite for dinner. We only did one breakfast ('Ohana) and weren't impressed. I did go Chef Mickey's for breakfast years ago when I was a kid and liked it.

Cape May Cafe is great. It's much less crowded than other venues, so you can take your time and enjoy less people being around. In most restaurants, the characters are under a ton of pressure to go quickly so that they can see all the guests before the tables get turned around. They usually feel very bad that they can't spend as much time as they'd like with tables, but in order to see everyone it has to be that way :( However like someone else said, at CMC you usually will see the characters twice or so and get to spend more time.

Cinderella's Royal Table is a favorite of our family because they love being in the castle and they love princesses. :goodvibes

Agree!!
As far as buffets, Crystal Palace was better than others. I didn't particularly like Chef Mickey's buffet, but for obvious reasons, the kids always tend to like that one.
