I tried searching with no luck; I'm sure this is a question that gets asked over and over again...

Where are the best places to go for Character Dining? We have an 8 year old girl, 4 year old girl, and 2 year old boy. The only place we have been before is Ariel's Groto for the princess one and loved it! We will probably do that one again but wanted one or two more suggestions.

Also, we did the lunch before at Ariel's Groto...if you have done both dinner and lunch; which did you prefer?

Thanks so much for your help. We are leaving in 11 days and will spend 5 days in Disney :cool1:

I've never done a character meal in DLR, but I know of some others offered there.

Goofy's Kitchen is in the DLH.

There's a breakfast with Minnie on Main Street in Disneyland.

There are character breakfasts:

Minnie (at the Plaza)
Lilo and Stitch (at Paradise Pier)
Chip and Dale (Storyteller's at Grand California)
Goofy's Kitchen (at DL Hotel)
Ariel's Grotto (DCA)

Lunch:
Ariel's Grotto (DCA)

and Dinner:
Goofy's Kitchen (DL Hotel)

Those are all the ones that I know of..... Each has a different group of characters that routinely visit.

Our favorites are Breakfast in the Park with Minnie and Goofy's kitchen for dinner.

Must do's every trip.

Minnies breakfasts has quite a few characters.

We love to go to the Minnie and Friend's Breakfast in the Park at the Plaza Inn. They always have a good selection of characters. There would be characters that all of your kids would love. We've seen Minnie (of course), Captain Hook, Alice, Mad Hatter, Chip & Dale, Rafiki and lots more just to name a few. The breakfast is pretty good too, but the vast character variety they have their make it worth it to try. Hope this helped!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Lilo & Stitch Aloha Breakfast! The food is great and it is so much fun! I highly recommend it!

We like Goofy's for dinner, Minnie's at the last seating (gives us ride time and we can do without lunch). Lilo has a very diiferent buffet which is very good or you can order ala carte for a savings. Storytellers is fine but expensive without as many characters. In my honest opinion

We also loved Minnie and Friends for breakfast. There was lots of room there, and it wasn't crowded when we went. We did Goofy's for dinner and that was fun, when Goofy does the show, and the conga line through the restaraunt.

We really enjoy Goofy's Kitchen. We have 2 daughters and 1 son and everybody is satisfied with Goofy's Kitchen and all of the characters that you see there. DH and I enjoy it so much we plan on eating there when it is just DH and I in September.

We've had breakfast at both Ariel's (just DD & I ~ last Sept) and Minnie's (all 3 of us this past April) both were fun but I preferred Minnie's ~ if there was a princess or 2 at Minnie's that would be perfect! We're gonna try breakfast at Goofy's this Dec. (I prefer to do a later breakfast so we can ride a few rides before heading off for brunch).

Add Princess Celebration Dinner to this list. :)

Are they still offering Princess breakfast?

Well, I don't know if this helps :confused3, but my hubby and I are going to DL in November, and I've been doing tons of research!

Anywhoo, based on the "unofficial" guidebook to DL, we're doing the character breakfasts at Goofy's Kitchen, and the Lilo and Stitch one at PCH Grill.

They're both supposed to have lots of character interaction!

(We're basically two kids....:rotfl:)

I know that Goofy has always had a lot of characters. Dh and I will be going to Goofy's Kitchen w/o our DK's in September. And I remember seeing people without their kids.

We just got back and while we were there we did the Lilo and Stitch breakfast. Great character interaction. The characters spent lots of time with the kids and even came around a few times. There was a conga line, hula dancing, and a few other games they played with all the kids. We did Goofy's last year and enjoyed that one as well but prefered the much more laid back atmosphere at Lilo.

t DL a couple weeks ago we did all of the following meals:
Lilo and Stitch (at Paradise Pier)
Chip and Dale (Storyteller's at Grand California)
Goofy's Kitchen (at DL Hotel)
Ariel's Grotto (DCA)
By far our favorite was Goofy's! We had 6 girls in our group-me, DD9, Mother-in-law, Friend and her two girls (4 and 7)
There a total of 8 or 9 characters. All the others had 5 max. The food was good, and there was lots to pick from. They made a big deal about the 2 Bdays in our group. We were VERY disappointed in Ariel's. The meal was very overpriced and not nearly as good as the other places. The princesses rushed from table to table so fast that it made my head spin. I wouldn't say that it was a bad time, but if we did it over we would bypass that meal.
Our second fav would have to be Chip and Dale. We enjoyed Kritter Kyle and his games/songs.
Lilo's was good too, just not as many characters.

I have an 8year old..and.. a 2 year old..Theyloved both Lilo and Stitch..and Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast..At Lilo's they learned to hula and played a musical chairs type game using the Hawaiian Islands..at Goofy's they played instruments..both great fun for both age groups..
