Character dining??

My husband and I are planning our first trip in August with our 4 year old daughter. We want to go to a few character dining spots, but we don't know which ones are the best. My daughter is really into princesses, but we are just so overwhelmed with all the options!

Can anyone help making our decision a little easier?? Which ones do you believe are the best and worth the money??

Even though it's expensive, Cinderella's Royal Table is such a wonderful experience for a princess-crazy little girl. We took our DD4 last March and she really could not contain herself the entire time. Being in the castle, seeing CInderella, Snow WHite, Aurora and Belle was just her little dream come true. If your budget allows for it, I say this is THE princess experience. And a big plus was we got into the MK before it opened to the public bc we had a very early breakfast. It was so great to see the almost empty MK, eat a very filling bfast, and then still be out in time to hit many rides before the major crowds showed up.

We did WDW in 2006 with our 2 daughters (then ages 2 and 4) - they LOVED the princess breakfast in Norway. We saw Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, Mulan, and Snow White. The food, we thought, was very good. Standard breakfast fare (the potato dish was great!). We also did CRT which was a really neat experience. They loved being in the Castle. If you can get in, it is something really special. We are returning in August and I asked them about character meals (we do the dining plan and use many of our table services for character meals). They definitely wanted to go back to Norway, Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace but when offered the chance to meet Mary Poppins at the Grand Floridian instead of doing the castle again they wanted to see Mary. It's not that they didn't like it but they have since fallen in love with Mary Poppins. We then all agreed to see Cinderella at the Grand Floridian this time. We have two nicer sit downs planned (California Grill and Teppan Edo). Good luck!

My DD6 also loves princesses. We all really liked the princess dinner in Norway. We saw Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, Cinderella and Aurora. They were so sweet to my DD. I was really worried about the food but it really was very good. When we go back this fall we are planning to try CRT breakfast. She is so excited to eat in the castle.

Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom doesn't have princesses, but is a good place for dinner. They have Chip and Dale, Pluto, Goofy, and Minnie dressed in old fashioned outfits. My kids loved it. They served dinner family style. I think it was turkey, staek, mac and cheese, and a few other things.

My dd always loves, Crystal Palace in the MK and the Norway Princess meals (i think breakfast might be better.) If she is still into the playhouse disney characters, The Hollywood and Vine breakfast is terrific. We have never done the castle- waiting for dd to get a little older (she is almost 3)

a variety of meals. It's not hard to feel overwhelmed the first time. You can hit a wide variety of characters with as few as three meals.

The princesses can be found at Cinderella's Royal Table in the MK, Askerhaus in the Epcot Norway area and 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian. You will find proponents of all three on these boards. Note that the dinner at CRT is not really a character meal but Cinderella is downstairs for pictures.

Chef Mickey's has Mickey, Minney, Donald, Goofy and Pluto and Goofy for breakfast and dinner in the Contemporary. The Garden Grill in Epcot has Chip and Dale with Mickey and I believe Pluto. Mickey can be seen at several locations but this has several top ones.

Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet are at the Crystal Palace in the MK.

Your daughter is about the age where she may watch the Disney channel in the morning. There are some characters from Little Einsteins and Jo Jo's Circus at breakfast.
