My husband and I are going to LTT w/ character dining for dinner. Since we do not have children this made me wonder how many childless couples do character dining. Please let me know. Thanks!!!

My husband and I did a character meal when we went for our 25th anniversary. We had a great time and all the characters come and visit and you can get pictures with them even if you don't have kids with you. Also, last September my best friend and I went and had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare with all the characters and we had more fun even though we had no kids with us. They spend time with every table...you don't have to have kids to go there and enjoy!

we do at least 1 character meal each trip~usually donald's for breakfast or LLT for dinner. you will have a great time!! enjoy

You'll see plenty of child-less tables at character meals. Characters will stop at your table regardless. I noticed once at LTT that a hostess was walking around and making sure the characters had stopped by (this was primarily to the child-free tables). Wasn't sure if this was to verify that the characters HAD stopped by or was a subtle way to find out if the adults did NOT want them to stop by.

We went to Chef Mickey's on our honeymoon - it was great! ::MickeyMo

We have also done the Crystal Palace b/c I have to have pics with my favorite characters. pooh:

Just go and have a great time!

DH and I (and all our friends who go there too) always do atleast one character meal :) We always have a great time. Personal fave is Garden Grill :)

BF and I love doing the early morning CP breakfast! Since we will be there for 2 weeks, this time we also added LTT dinner, like you. When I was down in FL during my WDWCP, my roommates and I did a few character meals to celebrate and had a great time at all of them.

There are always a few adult only tables and I don't think you'll feel out of place. It is a fun part of a WDW vacation and I think most people with or without kids try to include at least one.

DO IT and don't worry! We are married 13 years and childless by choice. We do a couple of character measl each trip. I have also done character meals while touring solo.

I've always done character meals with DD. Well, she's been along on every trip and together-time was the point, so I'm not complaining. However, we have always seen many adult-only groups and noone seems to think anything of it. I'm going with an adult friend later this year - she can't stomach the thought of a meal with characters, so not only will I be going to my favorite character meal, I will be doing so all by my lonesome after she heads home a couple of days before I do. I was nervous about that, but the folks on the Adults Trips board reassured me that they do this all the time and have a wonderful experience. I'm looking forward to it now. :) Go and enjoy!

Not only have I been to 6 character meals with other adults but no children, I went to one character meal by myself and my children are grown and gone on their own. DH and I did LTT last year and had lots of fun, as all the character meals have been.
trvlr4301r, thanks for posting that you and your DH went to a character meal on your 25th anniversary. DH and I are celebrating our 25th at the World next year and were thinking of Chef Mickey's that week.

I've always had DS with me at character meals. But, alas, he is now 18 and going to college. DM is going with me this time, so when you see an 86 and 54 yo together at CP and LTT, think nothing of it:cool1:

besides, everyone is a kid at disney :)

Thanks for all the replies! I'm not really nervous about doing character dining without kids, I was really just curious as to how many people actually do it. Seems like quite a few! I'm very excited about going to LTT. I'm like a little kid when I see the characters!

Hi,

My husband and I do at least one character meal per trip and we are childfree. We enjoy 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and Chef Mickey's for dinner. Character meals are not just for kids.

My husband and I are happily child-free and love the character meals. Go and have a great time! :)
