Heading to the World 1/28-2/4.

We have a 2yo DD who can't go to bed without her "Ninnie" (Minnie) doll. She also is a Daisy, Mickey, Donald and Goofy (a.k.a. she loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse).

We are looking for our best bet Character Breakfast where we can see as many of these characters as possible, Minnie being the one who must be present. It looks like Cape May is our best bet, but I saw somewhere that Minnie makes occassional appearances at Chef Mickey.

Is that true?
If so, does anybody know if there's a set pattern to her appearances?
OR, is there a different place I should look at?

If anybody can help...:worship::worship:

I vote for Cape May. We did this breakfast last Sept and thought the characters spent *a lot* more time with us than other character meals we've attended (including chef Mickeys).

Minnie is at Chef Mickey's & Cape May. She was not at Donald's Breakfast this summer, or 'Ohanas.

Minnie is definitely at Chef Mickey's. Ate there in Sept/Oct for both breakfast & dinner and she was there. Cape May has Minnie, Goofy & Donald in beach gear. Chef Mickey's has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto & Donald. Depends if you want to see Mickey too, if so, then go to Chef Mickey's.

I just did the Cape May breakfast 2 weeks ago and it was really great. Minnie is always there!

I believe Minnie is at both, but we like Cape May much better than Chef Mickey's - jmo....

I just felt like it wasn't as rushed and busy - Goofy actually sat down with us and wrote notes back and forth with my DD - it was a memory we will never forget (especially when he mentioned an amusement park in our city!)....

If you want a more "intiment" experience, dine at Cape May. Since there are only 3 characters, and over in the BC, it's not as crowded as the others. Plus, the b/fast is good! Places like Chef Mickey are VERY CRAZY busy, and you feel it!

I agree with the others about Cape May. The characters there interact so much more than the ones over at CM. We dined at Cape May for the first time in March and we could not wait to book it again for our December trip. My DD6 is a huge fan of Minnie as well and when we were dining there, she had on a Minnie sweatshirt and some Minnie hairpieces. Minnie came over to our table and was just ga-ga over my DD and all her Minnie gear. She even had my DD scoot over in her seat (sitting in a booth), sat down right next to her, and started hugging and kissing her because my DD told her that she was her biggest fan....it was the sweetest thing that we saw, and it made my DD smile from ear to ear for the rest of the day.

Get online and start trying to make ADRs now. You may already be in a situation where you will have to take whatever you can get, or where you will have to keep trying to pick up a cancellation. The character meals fill up fast. The only place I know that has Daisy is the Tusker House in Animal Kingdom breakfast, BUT Minnie is not there, which was a big disappointment for my DD. Minnie is in her red dress at Chef Mickey's. We haven't done Cape May yet, but I think she wears something else there.

Now when we were there in June Minnie and Daisy WERE at tusker House, along with Donald and Goofy.....so I guess it is hit or miss on that one.

We hope to try Cape May in August. We have been to Chef Mickey's many times, though, and thoroughly enjoyed it for breakfast. You definitely see Minnie Mouse there and she is always wonderful. If you can do both, I'd do Chef Mickey's for breakfast and arrange Cape May's for a meal another day later in the day. That's what I would like to do in August, anyway!

Voting for Cape May - great food, great atmosphere, and a little less "frantic" than Chef Mickey's.

Characters are only at b/fast. No lunch. Dinner is a Clam Bake.

My GF (girl that's a friend...) took her mom and neice to Cape May last Christmas and she said that it was one of the best meals of their trip (2nd to California Grille). She liked it over Chef Mickey's. She told me that the atmosphere and the character interaction were better than CM because the characters weren't as busy - they had more time to spend with the guests.

Thanks for the input all! It really sounds like a tossup, but the potential for a little more intimate contact with Minnie won out for us. We have an ADR for Cape May on the 30th, and our baby girl will be there with her minnie dress and ears on!
