Hi

I booked our table at cafe mickey today for the 2nd night we are in DLP it will be the first time we have ever been here so will be a completly new experience just wondered where else is a must do with good character interaction.

We booked a table for 6.15pm so really hoping to be seated downstairs as i have read that its not so good upstairs!! might try and get there for 6pm and increase our chances as i am expecting it to be quite busy!

What characters have you seen before in cafe mickey?

Is there anywhere you can eat that Buzz Lightyear visits?

Also what type of food do Cape Cod serve? is this in Newport Bay Hotel?

Apologies for all the questions getting excited now coz everything is booked :yay:

we did meet Tic (or Tac), Peter Pan, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, the old pirate from Piter Pan (can't remember his name )

I decided for Inventions for character dining.

I think Cafe Mickey is probably the best in terms of character numbers (or has been in my experience). On a par, but for a bit (lot) more money, is Inventions in the Disneyland Hotel. Really enjoyed that one.

The Lucky Nugget Saloon also was really good but I don't think they do it there any more.

You could always do Cafe Mickey on 2 different days. Probably have some different characters each day.

I like both Cafe Mickey and Inventions.

Cafe Mickey is definitely the place to meet lots of characters - from memory we've probably met 8 on each visit. We've been sat upstairs both times we've been at night and had a great time. Again from memory, characters that we've met here include Mickey, Minnie, Robin Hood  Baloo, Tigger, Goofy, Pluto, Genie, Sheriff of Nottingham, Gepetto, Gideon.

Inventions is our favourite character meal as we prefer their buffet but we've always enjoyed our food at Cafe Mickey too. We've had great character interaction at Inventions but you won't see as many characters, I think we saw 5 last time we went.

Yes, Cape Cod is at the Newport Bay. It's a buffet and there are some reviews on its restaurant review thread here, sadly no recent ones but you'll get the gist of it. :)

Cafe Mickey is brilliant we have been twice and sat upstairs and down and to be honest had better interaction upstairs x
