So I have a "routine" so to speak, but I saw a post here recently that the character line up at the dining locations has changed a bit. We've typically done Minnies at the park, and Goofy's Kitchen, and I'm thinking of adding in Ariel's for my girls. Can anyone chime in on recent character experiences, and where you typically go?

Thanks!!!

We're doing 4 character meals this upcoming trip! We're trying Minnie's and Ariel's for the first time. We're also doing Goofy's kitchen since my husband loved the buffet there and Surf's Up since it's the only one with Mickey and the food there was so good! The only character change I heard about was at Goofy's, they don't have random characters anymore. I think it's Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale, and Pluto.

Surf's Up is a lot of fun! You greet Mickey for a photo at the entrance. We've seen Minnie, Stitch, Daisy, and Pluto the three times we have done it. Several times during the meal they will invite the children up for dancing with the characters. The interaction is great! Stitch tried to run off with our autograph book. Pluto tried to take my daughter home with him. We had so much fun! They really play with the kids.

We really enjoy Minnie's as well. I'd suggest you get the earliest seating for the best experience. We've been there several times and see about 10 characters each time. Minnie, Chip, Dale, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Captain Hook, Rafiki, the Fairy Godmother, and Max. Our first visit had Peter Pan (but we didn't get to see him) instead of the Fairy Godmother. The rest of our visits have been those I listed.

That sounds great! They used to do the dancing at Goofy's too.. do they still do that.. and is Minnie a regular at Surfs up?

We did dinner at Goofy's in January and I was very disappointed. We saw Goofy at the photo spot at the entrance. The other standard characters are Minnie, Chip, Dale, and Pluto. They came by the table once, maybe twice for a couple of them. No more dancing with the kids. Every so often they announce to twirl your napkin in the air and the characters run through.

I believe Minnie is pretty much standard at Surfs Up. They only guarantee Mickey, but Minnie has been there every time I have done the breakfast and also the times I've stopped in to ask a question, peeled in, or been by there to go out the side exit.

We really enjoyed Surf's Up, the characters came to our table more than once. Every so often a certain song comes on and all the kids can go dance with the characters. Minnie was there when we went and I've seen her in many pictures from there. If you go try the avacado tomato salad, it was so good!!

I'm glad I'm hearing positive things about surfs up as we will be there Tuesday morning

We did Surf's Up the Half Marathon weekend last year and really enjoyed it. It was pretty empty on a Tuesday morning so most of the characters spent lots of time with us. Stitch came by twice and the second time sat down to have coffee and gossip with us :).

I have done them all several times and can say Surf's Up has the best character interaction and feels the most relaxed in my opinion. I like hitting Goffy's Kitchen for the different food but we always have the most fun coming outta Surf's Up.

Is Goofy's Kitchen the only character experience where they come out for breakfast and dinner?

I think Goofy's is the only one that does dinner. Ariel's offers breakfast and lunch. The other 3 just offer breakfast.

Surfs Up is the most fun for character interaction. Is relatively small and the characters can pass by your table several times each. There is lot of dancing with the kids. And Stitch is so funny!
