Hello everyone! I'm going to Disney with my younger sister before she starts college in the fall, and after discussing what restaurants we want to go to, she said she wanted to go to a character breakfast.

I booked us a table at Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast for the morning we leave, but since we're both adults I'm feeling a little uncomfortable with the idea.

Is going to a character meal without kids something I should feel weird about doing? Thanks!

No, not at all. And 'Ohanas is a great choice! :thumbsup2 Everyone is a kid at Disney! Definitely go and enjoy yourselves! I am sure you will see other adult only tables there as well.

My DS is going to be 15 and we are still doing several character meals. The Ohana breakfast is one of his top requests.

DH and I have traveled many of our last trip without our kids (six or seven times), and we ALWAYS do a character breakfast. Crystal Palace is a must-do for us and we sometimes do Cape May Cafe too. You will be perfectly fine being two adults at Ohanas.

When my husband and I take a trip to WDW without the kids we always book multiple character meals. What can I say, we're big kids. :goodvibes We've never felt out of place at all. And actually, 'Ohana's Best Friend Breakfast is our favorite breakfast in "the world" character or not. The food is great and the characters are a lot of fun. Especially, Stitch. :) Have fun!

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I was nervous about it since the only other time we had done a character meal I was eight and she was three.

We've only been back twice since then, and once just the two of us, but we really get into the whole Disney experience. I guess the character breakfast will only add to it. :)

Nope not at all. My Sister and I took a trip together this past December 2010 and we ate at many character breakfasts. We did 'Ohana, Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare.

My friend and I did the Akershus Princess breakfast a few days ago. Neither of us had ever done a character meal, and I was feeling a little awkward about it.
We had a nice time and were made to feel very welcome! I'd go there again next trip, for sure.

Coming from a fellow Long Islander I can tell you that my girlfriend (24) and myself (27) have booked as many as 6 character meals on a trip and have never felt weird or out of place while being at one. We are doing things a bit differently this trip and still managed to fit in 2 character breakfasts. The 'Ohana breakfast would not be my first choice, but I really don't like Lilo or Stitch and also we tend to prefer the interaction with face characters. In the end, you can't really go wrong with breakfast since the breakfast food is pretty standard no matter where you end up. :thumbsup2
