Character Dining question- reassurance needed!!!

When we did Chef Mickey I wouldn't be surprised if we were there for three hours. We had reservation and I checked in but I want to say we waited a good 45 min before they say us down. It was a buffet so we were able to grab our food right away but we did wait for all the character to come by. So maybe not quite three hours but if you include tranportation it was over.

I would definitely say that 3 hours is NOT the norm. I think maybe only one of our character meals came close to that--Crystal Palace breakfast. That was only b/c we had to wait for Piglet to break free of the huge tour group from Brazil and come and sign my dd's book.
