Good Morning!

Are there any character breakfasts that aren't buffets? My brother is going to be navigating the World with my niece while my SIL is working, and I think it would be easier for him if it was just a sit down....they are staying at the Contemporary.

Thanks!

Well, Ohana is served family style. how old is your niece? I am a single mom of two little boys and we got to buffets at the world with success. My kids hold their own plates and I add what they want. Worst case, I can make their plate and sit them down to eat while I make mine.

is served family style also. I'm trying to remember if there are some items on a buffet but the main parts of breakfast are brought to the table. Cinderella's Royal Table (CRT) is also served at the table.

Any of the three (including Ohana) are pretty convenient from the Contemporary.

My 2 year 10 month old at the time of her 1st visit was not into Princesses except for Cinderella, UNTIL we had lunch at Akershus. Ever since she has been all Princesses all the time. I would say show her Cinderella on DVD before you go (good for that age because no scary parts), and take her to Akershus or CRT. I don't know how active she is, but mine is 100 miles an hour all the time, and was fearless and loved to take off at that age, so sit downs were easier than buffets. If I tried it how sohappy can do it, mine would never just stand there and hold her plate at that age, and if I tried to sit her down at the table and go get my food, she would be half way across the restaurant or maybe even the park by the time I got back. I think it just depends on the kid.

I recommend the breakfast at Ohana if your niece isn't really into princesses yet. Platters of food are brought to your table. They serve Mickey waffles, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, potatoes, eggs, pineapple bread, and the ymmiest juice. The character interraction is very good. Stitch, Lilo, Mickey, Minnie and Pluto were on duty the day we went. They also do a congo line and the kids are given maracas. It's fun.

Liberty Tree if it has characters at all anymore, I can't remember what the change was

I heard that Liberty Tree Tavern, as of January 1, 2009 was no longer a character meal (total bummer- really enjoyed this last year!).

I will give a big thumbs up to Garden Grill for food, service, and character interaction. We have done this the last 2 years on our trips to WDW, but are trying something new this year. DD4 was 2 at the time of our first visit to Garden Grill and had a BLAST! She thought the characters were great, it was served family style, so she got to eat what she liked, and we ate what we liked- unlimited (I would imagine, I mean, we were never stopped) refills on the food- and the characters came around atleast 2-3 times in our 45 minute meal. Each time they posed for pictures, and let DD kiss their noses, etc. It was great- BIG THUMBS UP!
