In the past we have done the following dining with characters. For our Trip in september we are trying to figure out if we want to repeat some of the char. meals (or do a different meal @ the same venue) or add on different ones.

We have done:
Akershus Princess Lunch @ Epcot (10/07 trip)
Garden Grill Dinner @Epcot (10/07 trip)
Crystal Palace Dinner @ MK (10/07 trip)
Chef Mickeys Dinner @ contemporary (10/07 trip)
1900 Park Faire Cinderella dinner @ Grand Floridian (02/09 trip w/ my dd)
Ohana Lilo Stitch Brekkie @ Poly (02/09 trip with my dd)

My daughter is 4 and very girly girl - we are leaning towards doing Epcot Princesses again (but dinner this time?) since we don't want to use 2 TS and do the castle just yet.

My 8 year old son is on a gluten and dairy free diet, also so if anyone has input on these meals with GFCF, I'd love to hear it. When he went last he was 6 yrs old and he was only dairy free at the time.

My dd and I went on a girls trip in February and she loved the Ohana breakfast since both my kids are big into Lilo And Stitch we will definitely be doing that one again.

I am trying to decide about Chef Mickeys if we should do it again or do breakfast instead of dinner like we did last time?

Any input on the Animal Kingdom Donald breakfast or Cape May Cafe?

Our favorites are Crystal Palace and Cape May for breakfast, followed by Chef Mickey's for breakfast. We did the one in Norway for lunch and did not care for the food; we've done Chef Mickey's for dinner, but definitely prefer breakfast. We avoid dinner buffets (except for Biergarten) after two really bad experiences at H&V--dinner buffets are off of our list. I can't comment on Ohana as we don't do that one because we don't like Lilo & Stitch (we've not been there since they changed it from Minnie and friends and went to family style).

The Donald Breakfast at Tusker House is ok. You have to wait outside and it can get really hot. We didn't get to see all of the characters (don't know if it was due to the size of the place or how quickly we were rushed in and out). We aren't planning on doing it this year. The only cool thing is that the kids can get up and dance with the characters and you can see Daisy here (sometimes) which I've heard is odd. Chef Mickey's we enjoyed (we are planning on doing that one again this year).

Cape May Cafe is awesome!!! Not as crowded as other character meals. Food is delicious and character interaction was excellent. All characters came by our table more than once. Donald kept coming over b/c I had on Mickey shirt on and DD was hysterical! IMO excellent value for character meal.

There's also 1900 park fare for breakfast. We've never done it but it has Alice, Mary Poppin's, Mad hatter (?), Tigger, and Pooh.

Tusker House gets alot of positive reviews on this forum, but we haven't had good luck there: poor character interaction & cramped seating. We did Cape May Cafe 2 years ago & enjoyed it - very good character interaction & nice relaxed atmosphere. The buffet at Cape May was good but more limited than other buffets.

Our top 3 fav character brkfsts: Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Ohana

We have done the following:

Tusker House breakfast, Garden Grill lunch and CP lunch 3/2008

1900 PF dinner, CRT lunch, Akershus breakfast, CP dinner, CM breakfast3/2009

For our upcoming trip we will do CP breakfast, CM probably dinner and CRT lunch again. I'm thinking of adding Ohana's breakfast but we must do Ohana's dinner too. I want to add ONE more too.

DD will be 4 and DS will be turning 10. I :lovestruc character meals!!!!!

we booked Chef Mickey's, Ohano, and Donald @ Tusker House for breakfast and then the Story Book Dinner.

but after reading a bunch of posts on here i really wish we would have booked at Cape May.

we leave in 4 days maybe i will call tonight to see if we can get in?

We just did Cape May last week and really liked it. The kids had fun and the food was very tasty. We had decent interacation with the characters and there were cartoons for the kids to watch while waited to be seated.

We did NOT like Chef Mickey's. We had dinner there and the food was HORRIBLE. The seating was fair. The waiter was harried and rude.
