Character Dining Input for DD1

Hi all, hope I can get some input. Some background info, this is my 3rd trip, my DS3's 2nd trip and my DD1's first trip to WDW. We are DLR vets and my kids LOVE characters. I'm trying to choose between Cinderella's Royal Table or Princess Storybook Dining. I have eaten at CRT for lunch in 2005 and it was a great experience, but oddly enough it wasn't a character meal. I've never been to the Princess Storybook Dining. *For DS3's 1st WDW trip we went to Crystal Palace and Tusker House. This particular Character Dining experience will be for DD1.

Which one would you choose and why?*

I would choose Princess Storybook because the I think it has better character interaction and was definitely more memorable for my dd. (She remembers the Princess Storybook breakfast from when she just turned 3, but doesn't really talk about going to cinderella's royal table even though she was I think nearly 5) If you're using DDP, it means you can go to a second restaurant for the same credits as Cinderella's RT. (like 1900 Park Fare or Crystal Palace). If you're paying OOP, you can put the money you save toward a cute princess outfit or toy.

We would choose Princess Storybook (Akershus). My DD8 agrees. We've been to both multiple times. The character interaction has been better at Akershus every single time. We prefer the food at Akershus over that at the castle. Plus, if you're on the DDP, it's only one credit vs. two. The castle is nice for the atmosphere, and just the idea of being in the castle, but with children that young I'd go with Akershus every time.

I LOVE eating in the castle... but I would save that for when she is a little older and will "get" the castle part of it. Akersu has GREAT character interaction and they will even let you order a meal off the kids menu for DD1 at no charge. I'd definitely go there!
