My Sister and I are headed to WDW in 32 days and we'd like try and have a Character Dinner/Breakfast. Is it really only for people with kids, or would my sister and I enjoy it. What do you recommend?

Oh no, its not just for kids at all!!! I get just as excited as my kids do. I've also seen many "grown up" tables only at these character meals and they have just as much fun as everyone else. Though I have noticed that the characters spend a bit more time at the table with kids. You and your sis will have a blast!

Which ones have you been to? I'm looking more towards breakfast. The Tusker House at AK or Chef Mickey's at CR look good to me since we'd like to see Mickey and his gang. What do you think our chances are for getting in to the Character Dining even if we're 32 days from our trip? Sorry for all the questions, but since out trip is coming quickly there are all these last minute things that Im thinking of...

I'd like to book one for my sister and I when we go....it would be her Graduation Present from me. I know she'd eat it right up!

We have eaten at Chef Mickey's for breakfast and it was fun!
Always try to get the ADR, even if it is close to your trip. If your dining time is flexible, you may get lucky. Even if there is no availability now, try while you are at Disney. People's plans change daily, and something could open up last minute. Good Luck!!

We do several character meals each trip - it has gotten to be a tradition for my family - especially chef mickeys on our first night. We also have two teens they will be 19 and 15 when we go in June. They are not all into the autograph books and such anymore. BUT -who can resist a hug from Mickey, or the clowning around with chip and dale?

Our favorite place to see Mickey (plus Chip & Dale) is at Garden Grill. Our kids (15 & 13) don't want to interact with the characters as much so we make DH sit on the outside and he hangs out with the characters! And the food is great!
