Hi DISsers,
Somewhere I saw that one of the character meals was for older kids and adults only, ages 10 and up. i.e. maybe a bit less chaos but still the fun for young-at-heart teens/adults. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Please tell me if you know of this!

Thanks! Laurie

I don't know of any that are ONLY older kids and adults, but DH and I have been to Garden Grill at Epcot, and I have to say that was probably the best character dining experience for people without little kids. We certainly didn't feel out of place without kids.

I agree with Garden Grill. With the layout of the restaurant it is less chaotic than other places with character meals. ::MinnieMo

Disney does not age restrict any of its character meals. The only restaurant on property with an official age restriction is Victoria & Albert's (children under 10 can't dine there). Some restaurants (Bistro de Paris, Shula's) do not encourage parents to bring the children - Bistro doesn't even have a children's menu and I think Shula's will arrange for free child care somehow if the parents want. But no character meal I've ever heard of has any age restrictions.

Garden Grill is doubtless less chaotic because it's not a buffet - guests stay seated and the food and characters come to them. Because of the layout of the restaurant, there also doesn't seem to be a lot of space there for kids to get up and run around, as well as no real reason for them to do so. From what I remember, I don't think there's a "show" in that restaurant (no loud music, character dancing, napkin twirling, whatever)

Whispering Canyon & 50s Prime Time
The wait staff are the characters at these.
Ate Whispering Canyon they act real gruff & play practical jokes.
We're gonn atry Prime Time this trip, but I hear they do a similar routine.
1900 Park Fair has Cindy & Prince Charm, but the real show is the 2 stepsisters acting up the whole time. I could see 13/14 yo laughing at that.

i read somewhere that you can have dinner with an imagineer. i don't know any details or if it's still available, but could be an adult alternative for character meals.
