character dining choices

Hey fellow Disney buffs

Going to DLP end of the month with a picky eater. Her limits are quite bland food ie sausages chix nugs, chips, but she is getting more adventurous. She and older DS have never been on a plane let alone to Disney so breaking them in gently to DLP before hitting them with Florida. Would love to take them to character dining restaurant but can only see 3 as in the cenderellion, café mickey and innoventions. I have read somewhere that the cowboy cookout has characters that come out is this true?! and what are peoples recommendations on CD.

Cowboy cookout is no longer a character dining venue unfortunately.

Given your DD is a picky eater, I'd probably recommend Cafe Mickey as a character dining, as it's reasonably priced and you get good character interaction plus the menu is quite 'normal'.

If you didn't like the look of the lunch/dinner menu you could also consider going there for a character breakfast!

cafe mickey is either a set table service menu, or table service a la carte. Its not a buffet, except at breakfast time.
