Any recommendations?

Whats it like for reservations? (Disney seems mad - cant get anything for the two weeks we're there).

I think there's just the one, right? At Confisco Grille? I tried to get a reservation for this breakfast, the Grinch is there in December I think and I got the number for the Grinch breakfast from past year's, but it was just some lady's VM. I left her a message but she never called back ... shocker. From what I've read reservations are much easier to get at US than Disney, and most can be gotten day of in the park, but for character meals you would think you'd need to do it earlier, right?

Just found this thread, which has very helpful advice and a list of phone numbers.

Every single character brekfast at Disney booked up for the two weeks we're there (Sep 26 - Oct 10).

I'm not surprised, we're going in December and I still couldn't get all the dining reservations I wanted at Disney. I did say "From what I've read reservations are much easier to get at US than Disney".

I have breakfast booked for a party of six at Confisco Grille at Universal’s Islands of Adventure on December 30, 2010, at 10:00 AM. The buffet-style breakfast ends at 10:30 AM.

The e-mail I got back states:

Breakfast Tickets are $17.95* per adult and $11.95* per child. These prices do not include park admission. Characters at the breakfast include: Spider-Man™, The Cat in the Hat™, and Thing 1™ and Thing 2™†.

I used the e-mail address diningreservations@universalorlando.com on the webpage at Universals website to set it up. It was really easy. Here is the link to the page: http://www.universalorlando.com/Amu...sco.aspx?ComponentId=3791&SourcePageId=7805#4

I believe The Kitchen restaurant at Hard Rock resort also had a character meal one evening, there may be others. Not sure.

should we plan on doing this character breakfast right at 9am and then move on with our day or do it later like 10 and come back to the front for it?
I am not sure what time we are allowed into the park and dont know if we can get to some rides and then come back or do this first and then go on....we are staying at RPR so we should get in early right?

? help....

Are you planning to try and do WWoHP the day you are thinking about breakfast and use the early entry benefit for WWoHP? I think for early entry only WWoHP has the rides open (someone corrrect me on the rides if I am wrong...)

I haven't planned our days out yet....we arrive on a thursday morning early like 930am....so we will get transfer to RPR and leave our bags at the front desk and we are thinking of finding a way to downtown disney that day.
Then we have Friday Saturday and Sunday with 3 day park hopper passes for Universal. I was planning on doing the WWoHP on the Saturday as we have a 3 broomstick breakfast booked for that morning but we can parkhop so .....it really shouldn't matter when we do what depending on how busy it is right? December 2-6th shouldn't be too busy I don't think.

Plus we want to hit the christmas Macy's parade and the Christmas thing at Islands of Adventure.....

Do I need to plan my days out like I do at Disney....or can we just do stuff by the seat of our pants?
