Character Dining at Universal

Does anyone know how far ahead you can book the character dining at the Universal Hotels? I have to book for Scooby Doo or I'm not a very good mother

If its dinner at RPR with Scooby and Shaggy at Islands restaurant, i never book it, its just a matter of turning up, we stay in July, and over 3 weeks never seen the restaurant packed out. As when we went to it in July last year, there was only 3 or 4 tables had people eating at them, S&S spent about 30 mins talking to us, well Shaggy was talking. If you prefer to book i think its 30 days prior to the date when you want to eat.

Do they do any meals where the Simpsons turn up?

I rang a while ago to ask when I need to book and they told me July, August time, but it's not really necessary. Dining at Universal is no way near a popular as Disney and you'll more than likely be able to walk in on the day.

I'll still be booking our Spiderman breakfast though! lol

We had breakfast with the simpsons at Universal Studios last August - my youngest loved it. It was at a restaurant near the ride, buffet style and the characters came to the tables. If I did it again the only thing that I would change would be the time - we went early as soon as it opened in fact and would maybe wait till later, although the food was lovely and fresh we were the only family in there and although we had ages with the characters, it did lack atmosphere as there was no one else.
