Character Dining at The Kitchen

Hi -

Has anyone experienced The Kitchen character dining at the Hard Rock Hotel? On the Universal website it's posted as Wednesday and Saturday evenings. We plan on going on a Wednesday evening depending on what you guys tell me.

we saw shrek and scooby doo. and they did the usual, posed for pictures, etc. they came around twice during our dinner.
