We are leaving for WDW on Thursday!!!! We can hardly wait!!! We are one of the only ones on this board that is excited about the CC. Not that we aren't very disappointed with no EE or E-nights, but at least we are getting something at the resort!! Come on everyone, if you are able to go to WDW be happy! If you are able to stay on property be even more thankful! We are going to have a great time with whatever time we are allowed at the parks!
My question is, what characters are in the CC. I am sure it is not MICKEY, but I am hoping for some characters my DD knows! Also, we are staying at the CR, does anyone know the days and times for this resort?? My 3 year old is totally psyched up for the trip! She has her autogragh book with her everywhere! If anyone can help, please let me know!

We were at AKL last week. CC didn't turn out that great for us there. VERY crowded, long lines. Also, if you hang around for CC, you will NOT be at the parks when they open - a must if you want to ride any of the "big" rides. My advice would be to skip CC, get to the parks early. Make some PSs for character meals where your DD can get some quality time with the characters as well as their autograph! My DD (9) and DS (4) loved the meals!

Characters I did see - Pinocchio, the wolf from that story (sorry, don't remember his name), Ghepetto, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale. Could have been more, I'm not sure. As I said, it was quite crowded.

CKmommy -- this is a URL to Deb's WDW web-site page with some info on the CC.

She doesn't list which characters come each day; from what I've read, it seems to rotate with each visit. I'm sure they will include favorites and you can always catch others at the parks.

I totally agree with your post. While I am a little disappointed at losing EE, it will be a nice break for my DW and I. We always felt a little pressured to get up, get going and get to the park as early as possible. This trip we plan to sleep in a few days. What a concept on vacation :D !

Hope you and yours have a truly magical time!

We saw the Character Caravan at CSR in March and thought it was great! At CSR they came on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at I believe 8:10 and 9:10 and stayed for a half hour. We always went to see the first bus and there were no crowds. On Monday there was only one other family there! My DS loved it, the charachter interaction was great. We saw Chip & Dale, Timon, Rafiki, Robin Hood, Goofy, Minnie, Gov. Radcliff, & Queen of Hearts (DS was afraid of the Queen). We have some really good pictures and videos. I enjoyed seeing the characters at the resort. On Friday when we were heading to the airport I noticed that there was a crowd for the second bus.

We took advantage of CC at BWI two mornings in Feb. We found it to be great. We did it on our "off" mornings when we weren't hurrying to be at a park opening and with Epcot opening at 10:00 it was no problem. We saw Pinoccio, Gepetto, Queen of Hearts, Foulfellow, Goofy and C&D. A CM at BWI desk told us it is almost always C&D and Goofy, then the others rotate but that may just be for that resort.

We did not plan to use ee or enights so we didn't mind at all. THose ee's were a killer for us on our other trip. We appreciated the extra morning sleep, it helped our kids make it to the evening parades and shows!:)
