Hi all!!! I have a quick question. We were thinking of doing our character breakfast on the morning we board the ship. Is this a good idea or will we be too rushed. Thanks!!

I'm sorry to inform you but when I did my last cruise you did not have a choice of when to do the breakfast. We received a paper stating when our breakfast would be.

First of all, you will be boarding the ship sometime after noon, not in the morning. How quickly you will get on the ship depends on when you arrive at the terminal. The departing passengers are off the ship about 9 a.m., then the rooms have to be made ready for those embarking.

The character breakfasts are done on sea days. The early dining has a 8 a.m. breakfast, the late dining has a 9:30/ 9:45 breakfast. The breakfast you go to is determined by your dinner rotation and is on the sea day that follows your first dinner in Animator's.

Also wanted to add that the character breakfast is only offered on 7 night and longer sailings. It is not offered on the 3 or 4 night sailings.

Sorry, posted it weird. We are staying at the Poly before the cruise and were going to do their CB before we board the ship. Will we have time for this? Thanks

You would need to ask the hotel that you are checking out of what time your bus will arrive that is taking you to the dock. That should determine if you can or not. Or if you are driving yourself to the dock go for it you will have plenty of time!

I think she means that she's planning a character breakfast at WDW before boarding. That's exactly what we do when we are using WDW transfers. There's plenty of time as the transfers don't leave till after noon. We like doing the breakfast at the Poly or at Cape May Cafe (Beach Club). It fills the time without paying park admission (as we book our packages separately and use Park Hopper Plus, not UPH passes). There's plenty of time. Even if you are driving or using private limo, there's no reason to arrive at the port before 11.

Our usual game plan (since we normally drive) is to arrive at port about 11. This puts us in the first 150-200 boarding, and I've never had trouble getting the ressies I want. You won't be first on board, but you're plenty early. Thus, an 8:30 or so breakfast will have you ready to leave WDW by 10...it's about an hour to port, so you'll be there by 11. Works for me~

I'm dissappointed! I didn't know that the chararcter breakfasts weren't available to the 3 day cruise. Is this true?
