We are taking our 2 boys (ages 4 & 5) back to Disney in October for their 2nd trip. Last time we loved Chef Mickeys for breakfast. We are doing the ice cream social but I would like to book a character breakfast as well. I have a reservation at the AK for Donald's Breakfastsaurus but now I'm having lingering doubts that maybe we should go back to Chef Mickeys.

Any thoughts or opinions on what might be best? Or is there another place I should consider??

thanks for any input!!

We went to Donald's last year and will never do it again. IMO Chef Mickey's is way better suited for a Character Meal. Donald's layout led to incredibly long lines at the hot food. After our first pass through the hot line we settled for the cold food because of the long lines. Might note that we were there at the opening so it could not have gotten better later.
Have not been to Chef Mickey's in a while but we always enjoyed the place, and the food was pretty good too.

tied Chef Mickey's and The Poly with Cape May after.....

Weve done Chef Mickeys quite a few times. Even after trying a couple other character breakfasts(including a bad experience at Donalds), Chef Mickeys remains our favorite.
But thats not to say you shouldnt try Donalds. Ive heard enough good reviews of it to think everyone should try it if they think they would like it, and form their own opinion on it. :D

We really liked Donald's and had no problems with lines at the buffet. I think you should give it a try.

Donalds is wonderful. the food is great, and we've never had a problem with lines. the Character interaction is much better than what we had at CM's and the service is 100X better than the service at CM.

We've never done Chef Mickey's for breakfast, but we've done it for dinner and loved it. We did Donald's this past May and HATED it. Food was terrible, service was terrible, character interaction was brisk. We had the last seating. Never again on that one. From posts I've read about it, people either love it or hate it. There's no in-between there, from what it seems.

The other character breakfasts we've tried have been the Crystal Palace (liked it) and the Cape May Cafe (liked that one too).

Good luck making your decision!

our experience was just the opposite...

we had late seating at donalds... character interaction as awesome... never have so many chars spent so much time with us... the kids LOVED it... the cm's/service was also awesome... our waiter was quite the jokster w/the pretend squirting ketchup and various other gags that my kids could not get enough of... somehow he even encouraged my super-picky eater to try many new things that day (i was amazed!)... the food was excellent... even tho we were the last seating, we were not rushed, the food had not been "sitting" but rather refreshed regularly (even tho by the time we left there was maybe only one or two other tables)... even our pre-meal photo came out great! LOL! no complaints there...

our other absolute fave character breakfast is at 1900 Park Fair at the GF... food is stellar, service good, characters and interaction is excellent... gepetto became part of the family! LOL!

hoping to do both of these again this trip...

We ate there our last trip 2 years ago...We loved it!! It was our favorite character meal the whole trip.

Character interaction was great...food was delicious. We had PS at park opening.

We are going again on our upcoming trip in November...I hope that it is just as good as last time. ::MickeyMo
