I thought the character breakfast at the Cape May Cafe at the BC resort was great. Cash, however, having been chased by one of the country bears, then stomped at by a Star Wars Storm Trooper, was less enthusiastic.

My two DDs really enjoyed Cape May Buffet at the Beach Club. They gave a half-hearted thumbs up to Chef Mickeys (we did b'fast and dinner there), but they thought the interaction AND the food was many times better at Cape May. I thought the characters at CM were in too much of a hurry to complete their rounds; at Cape May it was more relaxed and fun. Obviously, Cape May is a smaller restaurant than CM, so that may explain the interaction. But it's hard to explain the big difference in food quality.

The Castle is excellant as you get to look over Magic Kingdom, reservations need to be done way in advance. I tried one year over 90 days out and no luck. We were going thru the Castle and I asked if they had any opening's and guess what, we walked right in.

Our favorite is Crystal Palace. Make a ADR for 8:05 on a non-EE day. You will have a chance to get a picture of your family on Main Street without any other people, just have your camera ready!! Plus, the food is great!! You can eat and then be ready at 9:00 for rope drop.

we loved both 'ohana @ the poly and 1900 park fair @ the grand floridian... it really depends on what characters you wish to see... and what your plan for the day is...

on one of our previous trips we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast at 1900 PF on our water park day (w/our bathing suits under our clothes) and hopped on the bus at the GF and headed straight to the water park...

We love the character breakfast at Polynesian....O'Hana's...we like it better than a buffet because everything is served hot and you still get as much as you can eat, without everyone else in the restaurant "scooping" through it...the characters have always been good, too....it used to be called Minnie Menehue Breakfast.....

My two sons loved all of the character meals (been to every one) However, my vote is for crystal palace. The less you have to travel w/ the kids, the better. On our last trip I felt like all we did was travel from park to meal & back again. With CP you're right there in the park

We have done CRT's for breakfast, Chef Mickey's for dinner, Ohana's for breakfast and Crystal Palace for breakfast.

Chef Mickey's was by far the best. It is loud, big, but oh so much fun!! Characters include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, goofy and Chip and Dale. We even saw Buleu one night! All the kids get up and twirl napkins every 30min with the characters to this music that will stick in your head for days!! The characters are pretty quick but we found they all came around twice - even on a packed night - so that was fun. Donald waiting as you walk in was great too. Ice cream bar is a kids dream come true!!! A+

CRT's - great for princess interaction and the whole castle feeling. Waiting to be called to go upstairs. It is a fun experience for sure. If your kids are into the princesses (there are a lot of boys there too by the way) then I think it is a great time. Princesses we saw were Cindy, Aurora, Belle, Snow White, and Mary Poppins. The stuffed french toast is SO SO yummy!!! A-

Ohana's - it was okay - nothing too special and did not feel too magical. I am also partial to Ohana's for dinner so sitting there with a skillet of breakfast food didn't do it for me ;) The food was good but nothing to go gaga over and there was only Mickey, Goofy and Chip and Dale and it took awhile for them to do rounds. Goofy was fun for the little parade they do around the restaurant but everything else was BLAH. My 3 yr old dd repeatedly said she wanted to go back to Chef Mickey's to our server :rotfl: Maybe a C+

Crystal Palace - I was not fond of this one but I have heard great reviews though. We had 8:20 ressies and were not seated until 8:45. That annoyed me to begin with but the place was packed and the omlette bar only had one cook and he was miserable - no smiles, no cares. The line was about 7 people deep and wasn't worth it - as the eggs were soggy. The rest of the buffet was good though but nothing so great. The characters were alright but dd didn't seem so excited to see the Pooh characters as I thought and they acted lame - even Tigger didn't bounce :confused3 . The restaurant is very bright and airy though - pretty. Overall C

I have yet to try Cape May and we will be tryin Liberty Tree Tavern this next trip.

Chef Mickey's
Although it was the only character meal I've been to last year during my visit, it was a good time. Been there for dinner and breakfast that week. Many characters, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip & Dale, Pluto.
The food was very good too!
