character breakfast travel from OKW

HI. We are staying at OKW in June. We made it a family trip and we booked 2 two bedroom villas. We'd like to do a character breakfast. My first thought was chef mickey's but it is not exactly convenient for travel in the morning. Can anyone recommend a character breakfast in one of the parks or someplace that is convenient from OKW? Or should we make it a lunch at the Garden Grill or another location? Thanks, Lynn

There is Crystal Palace in the MK... It would be great if you can get a reservation before the park opens. It is cool to take a pic on Main Street when it is empty. Crystal Palace has Pooh and friends... They have tons of yummy food choices at a buffet and great character interaction.

Hollywood Studios has Playhouse Disney character breakfast at Hollywood & Vine... A medium-size buffet with pretty good food... We enjoyed this one.

MY CHOICE WOULD BE: Animal Kingdom has Tusker House breakfast with Donald, Daisy, Mickey, Goofy.... Large food selection of very good food.... Cool, African atmosphere... Great characters (interaction not always great, but always good)... Place is loud and crowded... BUT WE LOVE IT for the very good food and great characters... This is also one I suggest getting an early reservation (like 8 AM)... Eat breakfast and head right to the safari next door. It is great to see the animals on safari early because they are out, active and eating. This is a great experience!

We are staying at OKW and have breakfasts at Chef Mickeys, Tusker House, Boma, Cape May and Kona. We will drive our car to Boma, we will drive to Cape May on our departure day, Kona and CM we will take the bus to MK and then get on the monorail...get off at CR and POLY. Tusker House is our AK day. I made the ressies at 9:30 so we will have plenty of time to get a bus and get to the restaurant.

Actually, Chef Mickey's would be very convenient. Take the bus to the MK and walk over to the Contemporary. The walk is really not that far. It would probably be less of a walk to the contemporary than to Crystal Palace from the MK bus depot.
