Character breakfast times question

Hello all... I am trying to start planning where we will be eating for our trip in sept. I know my kids will want to do a character experience. Park and dining hours are not posted yet. I have checked park hours historically for the week I will be there and it looks like the park doesn't open until 10 am! (Which means I don't want to do a "late breakfast" because that will interfere with shorter waits in the morning).
Here is what I am trying to figure out... Does anyone know what kind of hours the various character breakfasts have with such a late park opening? Will the plaza inn open just right before park opening or will it open early (7 or 8). Same with the ones in the hotels... I see now they are opening at 7 am which means I would have lots of time to eat breakfast and still rope drop but I don't know what the patterns are for different times of year. Any help would be appreciated. We want to have a character meal we can enjoy without rushing while also not missing the rope drop advantage. Thank you so much!

Slightly off your question, but what time do you arrive the night before? If you have the time check out Goofy’s for dinner. It’s our tradition to eat there the night before. It’s fun for the kids and no stress of missing anything at the park. It’s at the Disney Hotel and for dinner it’s Chef Mickey. You could consider something similar on your last day if you are leaving without going back to the parks.

We wanted to do the Plaza breakfast but all the days we would be there the first breakfast time was 10 minutes AFTER the park opened so didn't want to waste the first hour when the lines are lighter having breakfast.

Plaza Inn's CB generally opens 10 minutes after the park opens. Hotel CB's generally begin at 7am.

We like to make the most of the morning hours too. So we'll often book a late morning CB at the Plaza Inn.

With the later morning opening time, I'd book a CB in one of the hotels.

I did think about doing this to avoid using any park time. We may go into the parks our first night Bc I didn't realize there aren't fireworks during the week so it may be our only chance to see them

Thank you for the info. Sounds like plaza inn is out. So the hotel CBs generally open at 7 regardless of what time the park opens?

Ok so plaza is an option on a MM day... But I wouldn't have to use my MM right? And do you feel there's enough time in that hour to eat and get out for park opening?

Honestly I’d consider storytellers for breakfast if they open earlier. It takes about 60-90 minutes to see all the characters at Minnie’s plus it’s possible that there will be less characters there or they will need to go to the parks by 10-11 am (they do when the parks open earlier at least). We have always had a bad time when we do character breakfasts after about 9:30 (as in so bad Minnie left Minnie’s and Chip and Dale left the Chip and Dale critter breakfast....)- so I can’t recommend going any later then that to any of them. Also they do hurry you out so they can prep for lunch so if you stay until the changeover it’s pretty awkward around that too. I’m sure it’ll be fun no matter what but the earlier the better for sure!

You don’t use your mm. There is a separate entrance.

We were done before the mm ended and they let us in the park! I felt like we got a head start from the hoardes on main st.
