We just confirmed that we're taking a family Disney vacation this year. There are two children in our party - age 6 and 4, both boys. We'd like to go to one character breakfast. Here's some background info. Four of the eight people in our party have been to Chef Mickey's and really enjoyed it. The other four (including the children), have not been there or any other character breakfast. We'd also only choose a restaurant that is not in one of the themeparks (don't want to take time away from the parks on a park day for a sitdown breakfast).

Therefore, would you suggest we go to Chef Mickey's since it's so good, or can you recommend another character breakfast that would be new to all of us (that's outside a park)? Thanks for your help!!!

I would check on Debbie's Board for where the characters show up and make a choice based on that.

Also, you could consider a very light breakfast and then a very late seating for a character breakfast and use that as both a relaxation break and lunch.

with the late breakfast/brunch idea....................I would definitely do Chef Mickey's. We love it.

You could try the charachter breakfast at Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club resort. We were there last month and had a great time. The charachters are mickey, minnie, goofy, chip & dale. The food is really good, the atmosphere is great and there is good charachter interaction.

Here is a list of our favorites:
1900 Park Fare with Mary Poppins and friends (friends can be any combination of the following: Bert, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore)

Cape May Cafe with Goofy and friends (friends may include any combination of the following: Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale

We love Chef Mickey's too, but maybe you want to consider booking a priority seating for Crystal Palace for before the park officially opens, like say 8:15am when park opens at 9am. That way you get to enter the MK early and stroll down a nearly deserted Main Street on your way to CP....great photo ops all along the way!

I have two DS's, they are older now but still love Crystal Palace for breakfast in MK. It has Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore. At 15 and 13 my DS's still love to go there and get their pictures taken with the characters. princess:

Chef Mickeys is our favorite! We have eaten breakfast there quite a few times and never had a disappointing meal. The breakfast pizza is my favorite dish there and I havent been able to find the same kind anywhere, so that sells me on it right there. ;)

We always do the character breakfast at Ohana at the Polynesian. It is just lovely! It is never crowded when we go. It is family style all you can eat, so the waiter/waitress brings all the food to you. There is plenty to choose from and it is delicious. The characters are Mickey, Goofy and Chip and Dale. I shy away from Chef Mickeys because it always seems so crowded and very loud.
