I just went online and tried to book a reservation for the Cape May character Breakfast and it says "no times available". Do you have to have a reservation for this or do you think they will seat us without one? I am looking for a character breakfast at a resort for our last day and they all seem to be booked.

Keep trying - slots do open up. Get conceirge to try aswell.

When are you travelling and how many people?

eg trying to get a table for 8 during free dining is harder than a table for 2 at a quieter time.

Character meals are usually packed. The earlier you go, the more crowded as most people want to eat and head to the parks at a decent time. Cape May is not that big. You might have better luck going at the end of the breakfast period, 10:00-10:30.

There is a character meal at Garden Grove at the Swan on Saturday/Sunday that is not on the dining plan. If your last day is on the weekend, perhaps you could check it out. Since it's not on any of the plans, there's a better chance for availability there.

We ate at Cape May 2 years ago for Breakfast. We had the first time slot and it was not crowded at all! We did get to be Family of the day which was awesome! It is a much smaller restaurant so I would guess it fills up faster.
