Character Breakfast ONLY?

My husband has had some serious health problems this year, which limit his ability to walk and tolerate long times away from our condo--Can you do just a character breakfast? We were planning to do one day of MK, but I think that is off now, considering we don't want to leave him at home alone .

We have reservations/priority seating for Chef Mickey's--and my brother is taking our son to Blizzard Beach --do you think that is enough Disney-ism for a 5 year old boy?

Just curious about your opinions.....

My daughter who is also 5 likes going to Downtown Disney to see the character shops and ride the small rides there. It has the Disney feel for sure. Be sure to stop into the sweet shop for some yummy Disney treats too!
Also while you are already at the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's why not take a ride around the monorail loop, that would be fun too!
You could also some evening stop into the Polynisian about 8:30ish and see the Electric Water Pagent Parade, be sure to get a nice drink at the bar and sit in a comfy beach chair and your 5 year old will get a kick out of playing in the sand!

You could drive and park at the Ticket and Transportation Center and then take the Ferry to MK right before the MK fireworks. The ferry isn't crowded during this time and the view is GREAT.

I also agree that DTD is GREAT for kids. Your son would love the Once Upon a Toy Store.

There is a Character Breakfast at the Grand Floridian--1900 Park Fare that you might consider.

The post about the trip on the monorail is a good suggestion too. We always enjoy that.
