Character breakfast on MHP morning

We are not planning on doing a park day on the day we do MHP as we feel it will be a long enough day for our boys so we are planning a fairly quiet day.

I have been thinking of doing a character breakfast that morning, a bit later say 9am so those who are going to go to the park will most likely be gone. Will it likely be busy with more families having the same idea as us?

The date will be Friday 26th Sept and we are looking at doing Surf's up

I think your plan is fine. We had a nice time at the surf's up character breakfast. By 9am I'm sure most people will be headed to the parks.

Thanks, my boys have watched every Lilo & Stitch movie over & over so I think they will love Surfs Up

We are doing the exact same thing on the exact same day
Only we are doing Goofy's and opted for a little bit later for breakfast so everyone can sleep in and be rested for the evening party.

I'm glad you posted this and I'll be watching for more answers, because we're doing basically the same thing a couple weeks earlier in Sept - going to Surf's Up around 9 on a non-park day. I have been wondering if it will be crowded at that time or not, because most people suggest doing character breakfast at the earliest time slots, but it's our rest day, so we don't want to rush to breakfast!

That is exactly what we did on our Friday during our October trip. I think we were a little later too, one day to sleep in.

I so need the next week on the calendar, I keep switching between doing the breakfast on the Friday we do MHP or doing it on the Monday morning after (this is the day we fly out but we are planning a park day until we have to go) The Monday it looks like the parks won't open until 10 so EE at 9, what time to do breakfast?
