Character Breakfast on CC double dip cruise

We are on the Thanksgiving cruise (western) with two stops at Castaway Cay and no stop in Key West. With only 2 days at sea remaining to serve 3 dining rotations, which days would the character breakfast be served? If we had the Key West stop it would be Sunday, Monday and Thursday. Just wondering if they keep Sunday for the first rotation.

Does anyone know what time the Magic arrives and leaves Castaway Cay on Sunday (leaving from Port Canaveral and heading directly to island)?

WOW! I didn't even realize this before. We booked for the 12/9 DD to CC and there are only 2 sea days with us arriving at CC at 8:30 on Sunday and 9:30 on Friday so there is no time there. I guess that we will just miss out on it that cruise.

i MAY have our answer

a disfriend was kind enough to bring me home navigators from last year's double CC thanksgiving cruise. unfortunately she missed the first CC day, but I have all the others. On the Cozumel day - Character breakfast is listed on the back page among the dining options at 8 a.m. and 9:30; all ashore at Cozumel is not until 10:30 a.m.

Hmmm...on our cruise itinerary for the 12/06 DD it has us arriving at both Costa Maya & Cozumel at 7:30.

character breakfasts are on the Magic and are included in your cruise cost; 3 and 4 day cruises do not have character breakfasts

Yes, you are assigned to a CB by your rotation & seating time.

I think what everyone is overlooking is the fact that Western Caribbean cruises usually only have two sea days whether there is a double dip at CC or the first port is Key West so I would think most W.C. navigators should shed some light on the 3 dining rotations and only 2 sea days.

No, the typical West Caribbean schedule won't apply for the Double Dip. The 3rd morning they use on typical WC is the morning they arrive in Key West because they don't arrive until 10:30 so they have time to do both seatings before getting to Key West. Based on the schedule they have published for the Double Dip cruises, there is not a late morning they can use as the 3rd one. That's the problem the OP is asking about. (The itinerary I got from Disney for our double dip lists all ashore on Castaway Cay days at 9 and 9:30. All ashore on Costa Maya and Cozumel are listed at 8am.)

That's interesting. I figured since Key West isn't that far that the captain could find Key West sooner than 10:30 AM the next day

I just spoke with a DCL rep and they further explained the ship’s itinerary for the Thanksgiving cruise.

Sunday: 8:15 – 2:45
Monday: Sea Day
Tuesday: 7:30 – 4:30
Wednesday: 10:30 – 10:15
Thursday: Sea Day
Friday: 8:00 – 4:30

I was surprised to find that we are leaving CC at 2:45 to make it to GC on time and the apparent third day for a Character Breakfast will be Wednesday since we don’t get to Cozumel until 10:30, but I can’t be sure.
