Character breakfast: Mickey’s Surfs Up vs Minnie’s breakfast in the park

We did Surf's Up! before driving home today and it was so fun! We did Minnie's on our trip 5 years ago and loved it, too. We plan on doing both again in the future.
Today Stitch was so funny! When he passed out buttons, he put my 3 year old's on his head when we didn't take it fast enough. Later when my 12 year old was away from the table, Stitch scooted to his seat, sat down and pretended to eat his bacon. When my son came back, Stitch blamed the rest of us! Lots of fun from him!
When we went to Minnie's, though, it was also magical. My daughter who was 2 at the time was terrified of characters. But the Fairy Godmother was there and my daughter liked her and she spent so much one on one time with her. Later in the day, when we happened to walk back past the Plaza Inn, the FG also was walking near there. She saw us and stopped us so she could say hi to my daughter again. What a gem she was!
You will have a great time at either breakfast!

My personal favorite is the Minnie and friends just because of the number of characters. But each Character dining location is fun in its own way.
(And oddly enough, while Goofy's kitchen is the most famous, that is my least favorite.)

I put together a little video of my experience at the different Character Dining locations.
Hope this helps:

Once again you will have fun either way... It just depends what are your top priorities.

Yes, you are correct, I looked it up and it looks like Surf's Up was $3 more for adults. $37 for Surf's Up versus $34 for Minnie's.
We prefer Surf's Up. Also, Surf's up is slightly more, however, you have a server who attends to refills and handling issues at the table. I believe you can also get Mimosas at Surfs Up.

I like the characters better at Surfs up. We have had too many issues of gettting only 2-3 characters at Minnies. Surfs Up you get Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, Daisy, and either Pluto, Goofy or Max. There is more interaction, and the dance parties are fun for the kids.
