Character breakfast for "lunch"?

I'm trying to make the most of our check out day without going into parks. We have an 11:20 a.m. PS at Chef Mickey's for Character Breakfast. This will be our "lunch". Then we will take the boat launch to FW to rent the water mice boats before heading to the airport. Anyone else ever eat a character breakfast for lunch? Are the characters still as plentiful and interactive at this later hour? Do they restock the buffet right up until they close?

Funny you should ask!! We just got back. Ate at Chef M's on Saturday at 11:00. I thought the same thing when I booked it having been there last year at 9 am and loved it. Well everything was great again. I think the character interaction was just as good.

I also wondered if the food would be as plentiful as last time or if we would just be getting the early birds leftovers. The food was still great. Hot and fresh.

I liked going at 11 because like you said 2 meals in 1!

That is one of our secret PS strategies. We have a in-room breakfast like Pop Tarts or Granola Bars. Then either make the 1st PS for lunch or the last PS for breakfast. The time is usually between 11:00 & 11:30 so like DeniseD said you get 2 meals in 1.

There has always been enough food and the character interaction has been great. Just one tip, ask when the characters leave so you don't miss anyone.

We did this in April and it was great! The best part is that the restaurant is emptying out. That meant more character interaction for us! There was still plenty of hot food. I would do the same thing again! Have fun!!!

This is what we always do! We got the last seating for PSB last May and loved it! We arrived to Epcot a bit early, did MS and TT first, then had a great brunch and weren't hungry again until around 4pm when we hit PT at MGM.

If you hit the parks early anyways, grab a poptart in your room and go!

=)

late breakfast (we call it brunch) is our strategy as well... we found that we often get extra character interaction as the restaurant empties out... food is always fresh and plentiful, so no worries there... ENJOY!

Yep. This is our strategy as well. :p We eat something quick in the room before we head out (bagel, fruit, etc.) then do a late breakfast ps (usually between 10:30 and 11:00), grab a quick snack in the park somewhere, have an early dinner (usually around 6:00), and then grab some yummy dessert somewhere later. It works great for us.

Hi GEM! I'm going back again this year in November so we won't be there at the same time. I have such fond memories of the Illuminations cruise. I love your photo!

Thanks! I always think about our cruise when I see your name on the boards. Sounds like you have a very special trip planned. Have fun!!

We almost always do that on EE days. We eat in the room ( or usually at the bus stop LOL), head to EE then eat the last breakfast seating, or first lunch seating depending on the park, and the restaurant. If when are there during shortened hrs, we will grab a snack, and then eat dinner at a resort after the parks close.
