Has anyone done one of these? If so, where did you hold it? Do you think it was worth it, or would the $ have been better spent elsewhere?

As of now, we are doing a 10 am ceremony at WP, cake cutting, and then lunch at an off-property restaurant around 2 pm. I'd like to do more for our guests, but I need to investigate some prices first. I thought a dessert party the night before might be too hectic because some of our guests will be arriving that day, that people wouldn't eat much at a dessert party the day of wedding because they've already pigged out, etc.

Thoughts?

We did a character breakfast the day after our wedding at Crystal Palace for all 20 of us. We had to pick either the earliest of latest seating so we could sit together, but that worked out well for our peeps as we had like the 10:10 seating so no one had to wake up to early.

I think everyone enjoyed it...they really seemed to anyway (I'd say more than the other breakfast we did at Chef Mickey's with like 11 of us before the wedding).

We are hoping to do the character breakfast at Cape May Cafe the morning after our VR. It is supposed to be a bit quieter than the other choices.

I would highly recommend Cape May Cafe. We did our rehearsal breakfast there the morning before our wedding and everyone loved it and then they were free for the rest of the day to enjoy the parks and their resorts.

We did a character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare for our farewell breakfast. We had almost 40 people and I did it directly through 1900 Park Fare large dining. I am glad I did it as my guests really enjoyed it and for my own personal reasons, it helped to keep my mind busy-see my pj-so all around to me it was so worth it.

Thanks for the responses! The prices seem reasonable. Now I just have to convince DF that we should offer it. . . :)

We also did a late breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. The restaurant was nearly empty by then, so it was nice and quiet, and the characters spent considerable time with us. We enjoyed it, even though only a few of our guests came. It was fine with us, because it made it more intimate, but it gave us an opportunity to spend more time with them.
