Has anyone heard anything about adding a character breakfast that would appeal to boys? My DS loves Mickey, but drools over Buzz, Woody and gang.
I know Universal has the Spiderman breakfast, but any news or gossip on forthcoming breakfasts targeted to boys?

They really do not have one that would draw the boys like the princess's draws the girls.

However, my son loves the one at AK.

I haven't heard anything about a character meal that's targeted towards boys being added.

Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary would be a good choice. :) There's Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Chip, and Dale.

I think a Woody, Buzz and the gang character meal would be terrific for boys! I would like to see, er I mean, DS would like to see Peter Pan, Cptn Hook and Smee too!! pirate:
I'm surprised they haven't offered something like this a long time ago??? :confused3

I mean they have a Toy Story resort, but not a Toy Story Character Breakfast/Dinner? I would think something like this would be a huge hit!

ITA! It completely baffles me that Disney doesn't add a Buzz/Woody meal for the boys! :confused3 They're really missing the boat on this, IMO.

FWIW, my 12yo ds has always been a big fan of Donald's Breakfastosaurus at AK, and he doesn't object when I drag him to Crystal Palace, either! ;)

They tested a villians breakfast this past Mother's Day in Epcot (I think it was Epcot). Boys always seem to enjoy the Prince treatment at the Princess breakfasts, they really get fussed over...

I am the mother of a Princess...and we are thoroughly EXCITED to hear they are tossing around the idea of a VILLIAN breakfast....she loves them all and we would definitely attend!!!!

Also, we love Monsters Inc. and Toy Story and would LOVE a meal with them as well. With Al's Toy Barn already set up, you's think it would be a breeze to set up some kind of Toy Story thing...

I'm glad someone brought this up. I heard the Mother's day character brunch was a test run for something like this. I hope all went well and Disney is choosing to branch out to it's boys! My son cringed the entire time we were at CRT, he even spent the last half hour under the table! He's not exactly the Prince Charming type! However, he IS the Buzz, Woody, Peter Pan, and Dash type! So we will wait patiently. Hopefully by our January trip they will come up with something! :rolleyes1

MGM would benefit from offering a good character meal. I know my DS would be a fan as would many young boys I'm sure.

MGM had Char Breakfasts at the soundstage-I think that is where they were. They would theme them around the current Disney Release my friend went when Toy Story was just out & HAD A Toy Story Breakfast. My sister went a few years before her & had a Alladdin Breakfast. And they used to have Ariel at Coral Reef. I think they should change the meals around a bit.

That saying my son enjoys the Breakfast at Cape May the best.

I totally agree with this!! My ds groans everytime he sees a princess. He LOVES Capt. Hook. We have gone to the character breakfast at the Poly twice and he really enjoys that. It's Mickey, Goofy, Chip & Dale.

Disney seems to be forgetting boys lately. We took a trip to the local Disney store and found one little corner with a couple of clothing choices for boys. Half of the store was filled with clothes for girls. What's wrong with a nice polo type shirt with an embrodered Mickey?

The Mother's Day brunch was Heroes, not Villians. There used to be a Villians meal at the Grand Floridan, it hasn't existed for five years or more. A lot of people thought if the Mother's Day breakfast went well (and it seemed to, it sold out) that Disney would put in a Heroes breakfast. That was May and there hasn't been any word. BTW, no Pixar characters (a rumor exists that there is a licensing problem with using them for character meals) at the Mothers Day Brunch. I think it was Hercules and Tarzan and Peter Pan.....

A Peter Pan breakfast would be amazing for boys AND girls! I am bringing my DS's (9 & 11) to LTT in December - I already know my 11 yr. old doesn't want to go, but the 9 yr. old still wants to see the characters - If I brought them to CRT, they would probably never speak to me again! Here's hoping for a boy's character meal soon - after all, they love Disney too!

I think this is an excellent idea :cool1: DS 8 &10 are getting picky about what characters they want to eat with.

My younger sons would be horrified to know that I posted this (and would no doubt swear it isn't true...but i have photos in my album to back it up) but they attended CRT breakfast when they were 11 and 13 (a VERY difficult Disney age for boys!). They laughed the whole time!!!!! Prince Charming knew exactly how to break the ice with the tough teen/pre-teen boys. The server did his part, too, to take the "girley" edge off of the experience. Had we not been with two nieces, we probably would never have considered going to the b'fast but it really was a highlight for ALL of us! Enjoyed Crystal Palace, too, with the same boys. My older sons at the same ages (I have 4) had a ball at Chef Mickey's and Beach Club b'fast... So, even without a character experience geared towards boys, don't automatically rule out doing what's offered now!

My boys really enjoy the breakfast at O'hana at the Polynesian. We love its family-style service rather than buffet.
