Character breakfast @ Confisco Grill in IoA

Hi,

I've been on US's site and from my understanding, we need to purchase the "1-Park/1-Day Character Breakfast Ticket" for 17.95 AND make a reservation. However, the ticket is non-refundable, so what if we are unable to land a reservation? Should we try to make the reservation first before buying the ticket? Will they allow us to make a reservation w/o the ticket?

Also, I was wondering whether the price is final or not. The main ticket selection page says "Price does not include applicable taxes and fees." However, the "More Details" about this specific ticket lists the following:

Character Breakfast Includes:
•A delicious Buffet breakfast featuring a large variety of breakfast items!
•An unforgettable meet & greet opportunity with your favorite Universal Characters!
•Tax and Gratuity*!

So what is the price of this character breakfast?

Confisco's is in POE (Port of Entry) in IOA. You need to get into the park to get to the restaurant.

I don't think there is a huge demand for the Spidey breakfast, but with Potter comin, that could change.

I would book your breakfast then buy your ticket for the park...since you can always cancel the breakfast.

As for the price, they show you the buffet price. What's not included, besides tip, is juice and milk (I think...I'd have to go back and check my trip report). That kind of shocked me, but guess they have to make $ somewhere. I guess it's their way of covering themselves when you see extra charges.

You could always clarify when you speak to the person who takes your res.

eta: just checked TR...it IS juice & milk that is not included in price...unless they've changed it since '07

I am more interested in Cat in the Hat & Thing 1/2 actually, I heard they were there also?

In terms of speaking with someone, when will someone be available to pick up at the 407-224-4012 number? I called and left a message at the voicemail with contact info, and was never contacted back.

While purchasing our Breakfast ticket I made the reservation. The guy actually checked availability while on the phone and before I made the purchase. These Breakfasts are held on Sundays and Thursdays between park open and are completely over at 10:30 am. We will be there June 17th for our breakfast. I booked it just in case I could trade up to the Threebroomsticks. So far, no such luck. Not that this place wouldn't be nice. It's just that my kids aren't in to Spiderman or the Cat in the Hat.

Three Broomsticks will not be serving breakfast...it will be CS for lunch & dinner. The breakfast there was part of the special HP package.

I purchased my tickets back in February and the Breakfast. I thought later it would be tradable but so far I was wrong. Oh well, such is the casualty of making plans ahead of time.

Yes, you have to purchase the Character Breakfast seperate. I think the cost was just over $17 for each person. I knew there were reservations with WWOHP packages for breakfast and hoped they would open up the option due to popularity after the Grand Opening. Of course then I thought the Grand Opening would be in May and made my vacation plans for June. To this day Guest Services says there are no reservations for Three Broomsticks other than the WWOHP Packages.

Right...you have to pay the restaurant seperate for your breakfast...but there is no physical "ticket" to puchase (for Spiderman character breakfast).

I don't want people to think they need yet another ticket....you don't. You need a reservation and you pay when your breakfast is concluded.

When I purchased my park tickets I also purchased the Meal Deal, Sipper Cups and I thought the breakfast too. I will call them today to see if it was included in the price or if I have to pay at the restaurant.

I know you could have purchased the Harry Potter 3 Broomsticks breakfast...but reading back, I am pretty sure you didn't purchase the HP package.

Maybe you just MADE the res...you didn't actually PAY for it?

$17.95 per person and Grautuity is included at the one resturant. Maybe taxes have to be paid? The $17.95 per person was already paid for along with the meal deal, sipper cups and park tickets.
