Any opinions on the character breakfast at Poly? Food quality? Which characters? Hard to get an ADR?
Thanks,

Hi neighbor!! I'm from Houma, and I'm actually in Thib at work at the moment.
My family loves the breakfast w/Lilo,Stich, and Mickey at the Poly!! It's usually our best character bkft. The welcome bread and juice are GREAT!! We always seem to get a great table overlooking the lake. THe characters don't seem rushed when we've gone. They have a little parade thru the restaurant during the morning that the kids can join the characters doing. We really enjoy it. We did Ohana's for dinner this last trip (AWESOME) and my kids kept asking "Are you sure the characters are not here somewhere?":rotfl:

Not in Thibodaux at the moment. I work in Houston and travel every week.

We ate there in 2007 and it was good; my DD was a littel disappointed because Lilo was not there, they said she had surfing lessons that morning. Stitch & Mickey were good though and the food is awesome! We'll be going there again this June.

Ah...the Lilo and Stitch Best Friends breakfast!

Let's see. We love the juice, it's really a treat. It's, I believe, Guava, Passion Fruit, and OJ...I might be wrong on one of those though. It's really sweet so try not to gulp it...you'll be in for a shock. :lmao:

Other than that the food is just OK for us. We're not fans of sweet bread and that's what they give you right away. The fruit is always awesome, but it's the same fruit that you can get anywhere in the World.

The hot foods are, I believe, eggs, bacon, sausage, and fried wedged potatoes. Then they are followed by Mickey waffles. The waffles are always great, but again, you can get them anywhere in the world.

The character interaction is the best part about this one. Lilo and Stitch are always very "high engery" and act excited to be there. If Lilo weren't there, like the post above, then I would have a huge problem with it because it's not the same without Lilo and Stitch. Mickey is just Mickey, only dressed as though he's on vacation. Pluto is funny here...he actually crawls around like a dog. It's pretty cute.

All in all...it's pretty good, but certainly not our fave.

It is a wonderful character meal absolutely! Not only are you graced by the presence of Lilo and Stitch, but Mickey and Pluto make an appearance too!

The food is great. It is not buffet, it is served family style, and believe me when I tell you it keeps coming and coming! Taste? Dee-lish! Breads, fruit, eggs, bacon, Mickey waffles...fabulous coffee, and the juice? Completely out of this world....and of course on saying "out of this world"....Stitch....:lovestruc Well....he is my Blue Boy, what can I say? ;)

The character interaction is non-rushed and fun...there's a parade that happens. The view of the MK is spectacular. I think you would love it!

:hippie:

As far as getting ADRs goes, I think it must be relatively easy. My Bro and SIL ate there in August and made the ressies lass than a week before the trip.

Thanks for all of the info. Picked this character meal as we will be staying at the Poly which makes it easy for us.

This is a fun breakfast, the dance around the entore dining room c;looecting the kids as they go. It is Mickey, Lilo and Stitch, I have had other like Goofy, Minnie and Donald before added in. The juice is wonderful!!

LOOOVE Ohana breakfast! The food is awesome, and we've always had a great view. So much fun! We go back every time.

It's our absolute FAVORITE breakfast experience at Disney. My family loves it and we go back each time we're in Orlando. This time, I hope to go twice! :)
Food was great IMO, character interaction was FABULOUS.

The character meals are great for the time spent meeting the characters. My boys loved meeting Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto. They barely eat any breakfast when the characters are running around. I didn't really like the food much, I prefer a buffet where I can pick/choose what I want from a broad selection of hot/cold foods, fruits, breads/cereals. I'm glad we did it once to try it out, but probably won't choose to do it again. Thankfully my boys are not huge fans of Lilo/Stitch, so it's not a mandatory meal for us.

We were there last week and I wasn't impressed. The food was standard breakfast food. It was good and plentiful.

The character interaction was not good! Maybe it was due to the fact that it was a table of adults but more than once the characters didn't take the time to have pictures taken with all at the table. The characters did spend a lot of time at tables with kids.

We had a 1040 ADR and the room wasn't busy at all.

We ate there last spring and my 2 and 4 year old had a blast! The food was good too. We had tried to get an ADR for 6 weeks before we left and nothing was available. While at our hotel I stopped at Guest Relations and they were able to get us a reservation. I am so glad they did. In fact we can't wait to go back when we are in Disney this August.
