Hi Everyone,

My husband and I will be taking my DS 5 & DD 3 to Universal in January and were thinking of taking them to the Character Breakfast.

I was wondering if anyone had gone and what their opinions were? I am really interested in how the character interaction was and how the food was?

Thanks for any and all help!!

The character interaction was great...it's a smaller restaurant, so they don't have many tables to visit, therefore, spending a lot of time at each. Spiderman took a LOT of time at our table talking with the kids. They have every imaginable thing there for breakfast you could think of: pancakes, waffles, pastries, fruit, cereal, etc.... Mind you MILK AND OJ ARE EXTRA AND NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE! (Don't know why...stupid imo).... Anyhow, the food was "okay"...how spectacular can you make breakfast anyhow? If you click on my trip report, i have pictures and review of it..it's in the Epcot/Universal Feb. trip in sig (Epcot was first 2 days, Universal was 2nd two days)....

We had the Spiderman breakfast as well and thought it was pretty good. The food was the usual breakfast buffet and we all thought tasted pretty good.Spiderman was great he talked to the kids and sounded quite a bit like the cartoon Spidey. The Seuss characters spent a lot of time at the tables as well posing for pics and Thing 1 and Thing 2 even did some cute things like sneaking up on tables and chasing each other around.I think the thing I liked the most was at no time during the whole meal did I feel rushed like I have at some of the Disney character meals, our server kept saying "relax and have more coffee it's still early"

We did a character breakfast for my DD a few years ago in January. She loved it and the food was excellent. We did the breakfast when the park first opened. The place was empty. So the characters spent a lot of time at our table. She saw Spiderman, Wolverine, Cat in the hat, and Thing I & II. We told our server it was her birthday, and they brought out a cookie with a candle on it. Everyone sang happy birthday to her even the characters. We have annual passes and with the discount the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend it. I attached some pictures from this trip.

Excuse my ignorance but I was not aware that Universal did character breakfasts. Please, please, please tell me where it is, who is there and how I book it?:thumbsup2 We are out there from Nov 29th - Dec 14th and this would be excellent.:dance3:

The hotels also have character dining....I don't know much about it, but you can call the hotels and ask....they will help you :goodvibes

I know the Nick Hotel has it, but its only for hotel guests. I called about it two years ago and found that out. I thought that was kinda weird... What other hotels do it? Hard Rock?

I think Hard Rock and Royal Pacific, but we don't eat at the hotels, so couldn't tell ya for sure. I just remember reading.... You can call and ask, they will tell you ;)

I read about this on the Universal website. Sounds like fun and we may try it.

We would really love to do a breakfast with characters such as Dora and Blue. I can't see anything on the website though.

That Dora Breakfast is at the Nick hotel and unless you are a hotel guest, it is not available for you. I think that just stinks:sad2:

I booked the Spiderman/Cat in the Hat breakfast for December 6th this afternoon and got the first seating time. My boys are going to love it! This will be our thrid character meal of our trip. Oh well, they are only young once. The grinch breakfast doesn't start until the 7th along with all the other festivities. Hopefully the parks will still be decorated though.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all of the great information - it really, really helped!!
