Has anyone done the character breakfast at Confiscos? I know it's a buffet; but haven't seen a review on the food. Is there alot to choose from and is it good?

Also; we only have 1 day for IOA in October and it closes at 6. =( Would you take the time to do the breakfast; thus taking away from your touring time?

Thanks.
Maggie

We did the breakfast on July 4. I have a short review of it on the trips report page.

The characters were Cat in the Hat
Things 1 and 2
Grinch

the buffet is no where as big as the ones at WDW but the food was fresh and hot. The choices were
Srambled eggs
Sausage
Bacon
Sausage gravy
french toast
potatoes I believe
Yogurt
Fresh fruit

several cereals
There might have been a few other items withe the cereals. We didn't pay much attention to that section.

If you get the earliest seating (when the parks open this summer at 9 the first seating is at 8:30) it shouldn't take from your park time very much at all.

Great review! Now let me ask you. Is it self serve or do they serve you? Do they serve you on china or those plastic plates?
Also, is it all you can eat?

Thanks!

all you can eat serve yourself.

China I am fairly certain.

When we went in December...it wasn't that great! JMHO. And the drinks aren't included in the price...that was a big ripoff.

The characters were fun though. :)

How much does the breakfast cost? An do you have to make a reservation well in advance?

The breakfast is $15.99 for adults and $9.99 for children 3-10.

The breakfast runs Thursday thru Sunday and you can make priority seating 30 days in advance.

No drinks included? That is a bummer, but oh well, it's a themepark.

No drinks? Thats a new one and kind of chintzy, but whats another couple bucks on top at this point.:D

The Grinch in July !!!:earseek:

I didn't think he was even in the park until the holidays - I think I'll have to do this in Dec - my little nephew would love some time with the Grinch !!::yes::

You will also find the Grinch in the park at all times of the year and hes very funny:jester:

At least in our experience, you don't have to make reservations very far in advance.

I just called today to inquire about seating for 5 in two weeks. Thinking that I might be out of luck (while remembering 3am alarms going off to book CRT), I told the reservation cart that we could be available for any of the breakfasts Thurs-Sun, Aug. 5-8. The reservation cart told me there was seating available at all of them.

There was only one breakfast a day (9-10:30am) and none of them were filled. I actually had to make a choice. Yikes, and here I thought I would have to settle for whatever they had available:teeth:
