First and Foremost....is it just me who is behind in work because they can't get enough reading from these post :) Man I have so much work to do...but I can't stop reading this board. I love it and I am so excited about my trip. This is our first time cruising with Disney.

My questions: We are going on the West Cruise 7 day cruise in August and My family and I wanted to go on an excursion for each land day. Each Excursion is in the morning which is Tue, Wed, and Thurs on our cruise.
-Does some of the character breakfast fall on the day we are on land?
-I don't want my family to miss the character breakfast and I read that they give you a specific day to attend is that true?
-Is there a character breakfast everyday? If you miss your breakfast can you go another day?
-Is there a lot of activities going on on the ship while people are on land?
-Will my family and I miss alot of interesting things on the ship if we go on our excusion?
-Since this is my first time cruising I was not sure if doing excursions for all three days was worth it?
-Does the excusions get sold out pretty fast?
In order to book your excursion your trip has to be paid in full and I was wondering if my trip was paid for LATER than the 90 days prior will a lot of the excursions be sold out?

:flower: :cheer2:

They do the character breakfasts on mornings you are at sea. Typically there are 3 Character Breakfast mornings - one for each rotation. Usually your server will let you know what morning your Character breakfast is.

I've never missed ours so I don't know if you miss it if they can fit you in another time. Since it is the same as the dining rotations, if they have an empty table, they may be able to accomodate you.

While there are still some activities going on while you are in port, you will see that they are really scaled back. (They know most people will be going ashore for at least part of the day.) Personally, I don't think it is worth missing a port call to take part in the onboard activities. (Usually if we don't go ashore, the best thing going on is a quiet pool.)

Whether the excursions will be sold out I think will depend on which ones you are looking at. If it is something that they can accomodate a large group of people (island tour by bus, beach day, snorkeling trip, etc) I don't think you will have a problem. We wait to book ours on board and have never been disappointed.

Thank you so much for responding. You answered all my questions.

I am going on the West Coast Cruise on July 9th. Our 90 day mark was yesterday, and that was the day that you could book excursions if you were paid in full. The dolphin excursions sell out VERY quickly!!! I called right at opening time (6 am sharp PST!!!!), was on hold for 17 minutes, did not get my first choice of times, and had to book our family at 2 separate times!! :sad2: But if I had called any later, I don't think we'd have been able to swim with the dolphins at all!!! So if you want to do the dolphin stuff, call early...maybe even a few minutes before opening time!!

Also, I didn't book it, but I heard the Paradise Beach Resort excursion in Puerto Vallarta sold out pretty quickly too.

Good luck with whatever you decide to book! :flower:

thank you so much for that information. Since my children are under 10 we can't do the dolphin excursion. Thanks for the info on PV Beach excursion that is one I definetly wanted to attend. I can't believe it booked that fast WOW!!! I guess I have to put the trip on the credit card :) and book my excursions cause I don't want to miss out. Please keep in contact with me after your trip I want to know the do's and don'ts.

Have a great day!!!
