Hi all,

Believe it or not - we are thinking of booking a 2nd CB for Joshua, getting into Disney dining big time now eh

Having booked a quieter one at Cape May - Beach Club Villas , we are thinking of something a bit more lively now for Josh.
Many of you will know we do not dine out often hence the questions below.

Thinking of maybe a theme park one now, and choosing between Crystal Palace or Hollywood & Vine.

Any thoughts?

In addition as we are thinking of an early time, you just get in the theme park as normal do you as obviously technically it's prior to opening times etc?
(may be a daft question but have just never done it before).

personally i would go for crystal palace but thats not because of experience, its just for the characters there

Crystal Palace is a nice Character dining experience :thumbsup2

Have Hollywood and Vine re-started character meals? We went to lunch, for my 40th  , but I thought they stopped it shortly afterwards :confused3

We love Chef Mickeys and have eaten there three times now

The Grand Floridian was fun with Alice and the Mad Hatter :goodvibes

We had an early breakfast, at the Castle, one year and just went to the gates to give our confirmation number to get in :sunny:

crystal palace gts my vote johnny - great characters and you get in early for breakfast

I know Chef Mickey's has a good review, but as we are already doing a resort CB thought a Theme Park one would be a good idea.

In addition as our 1st CB is whilst we are staying at the Boardwalk, a 2nd would be something to look forward to later on, and it gets you into the park early.
So Crystal Palace is probably the favourite, as the characters there are better plus MK overall is a park where we will visit several mornings anyway.
Wheras MGM is more an evening stroll for us.

What about the character breakfast at Ohanas?

Character wise it's okay Florence - but we just prefer a buffet style I think (easier with Josh), and it seems Crystal Palace and Hollywood & Vine do that (according to allears.net anyway).

I'd back Crystal Palace, even if its just for the reason that you can get into MK early and get piccies of yourselves with the castle and no one else in them!

Out of your two choices I've only done the Crystal Palace breakfast, and it was really good ~ especially if you love Winnie The Pooh :)

Thanks Carol & Mandy :)

Think Crystal Palace is looking strong favourite.

we have just done cape may, ohanas, chef mickeys and breakfastosaurus. Also crystal palace for dinner (we like character meals!).

I think that breakfastosaurus at animal kingdom was the best for interaction-also nice buffet like cape may.
Ohanas and chef mickeys were both fab-we didn't even pre book cm.I tried all holiday to get a cancellation but none came free,so we decided to just turn up and see if they could seat us,well you should have seen all the empty tables.I guess people just don't cancel their bookings if they can't make it.
We had our breakfasts around 10.30 so we could do a few rides first, then go and chill out for an hour.

I totally forgot about Donald's Breakfastosaurus. Excellent way to get into AK nice and early as well :thumbsup2

I love Donald's Breakfastosaurus, great food and great interaction with the characters, we are doing this in October :thumbsup2

Thanks Florence/Sue - I will check that one out too. ;)

Hi JohnnySharp

We love going to CP - breakfast or dinner, the place is just great. If you go before the park opens they have a gate (on the far right) for CB entrance. Make sure you have your ADR number just in case. It's lovely when main street is virtually empty.

Next time we are trying Cape May for a CB on our last day - so let me know how it goes. :thumbsup2

We would suggest the Crystal Palace, went there last year and will be going there again in a few weeks - we love it!

David

Another vote for the Crystal Palace Johnny :thumbsup2

I definitely preferred it to H&V and there are some quiet "corner" areas where I'm sure you could request to be seated if that would make things easier for Josh :)

The photos you get if you go for a pre-park opening ADR are priceless, just priceless....
