Character autographs?

We are planning our 2010 trip and will take a couple days off from Disney to do Universal. I was wondering, however, whether or not the characters sign autographs like they do at Disney? If so, where can I find a list of who we might see? For what it's worth, we'll be hitting Universal for 3-4 days during our December 18-January 1 trip. Thanks in advance!!

Cat in the Hat, The Grinch, Things 1 and 2, Rugrats, Popeye, Bluto, Olive Oyl. Betty Boop, Spiderman, Cyclops, Storm, Captain America, Rogue, Wolverine, All of the Sinbad characters, Shrek, Donkey and Fiona. Lucy and Ricky, The Flintstones, Shaggy, Scooby, Barney, Woody Woodpecker, Curious George and the man in the yellow hat, Jimmy Neutron, Dora the Explorer, Spongebob, Doc Brown, The Simpsons, Marilyn Monroe, the Blues Brothers, characters from the Beetlejuice show, Madagascar characters.

A few like SpongeBob have a stamp. His arms are too weak to write.

Does Universal sell autograph books?

Yes, they sell autograph books at the main Universal Studios store or the Trading Company at IoA.

I saw Bullwinkle the last time I was at IOA. Also, along with Curious George you will see the man in the yellow hat but I don't know if he gives autographs. We haven't asked for autographs since the 1980's but we did stop and see a few characters last october. We had our pictures taken with them while holding a sign that said Hi Georgina then we sent the pics to my wife's granddaughter in England. They are coming for their first visit March 2010 and she was thrilled to see Dora holding a sign with her name on it.

Here are some character pics I found in a directory, they don't even come close to showing all of the characters you can see. I know we missed a lot of Dr. Suess pictures, most of the Marvel Superheroes and a lot of characters in the Barney area plus characters like the Blues brothers, Lucille Ball, etc. Bottom line is you could spend a day doing nothing but autograph chasing.
