Character Autographs

I am creating my own autograph books for the kids to bring with to WDW in December. I am making pages for each character that includes their picture and name. I am also taking with blank pages for the unexpected characters we may meet. That is where my question lies. What characters are now frequenting the parks? I know the basic ones like Mickey’s crew, Pooh’s crew, Princesses, Peter Pan, Woody, Buzz, Mary Poppins. Are there characters like Lilo & Stitch, Alice, the Princes, that can be seen outside of their Character Breakfasts/Meals? I am not even sure that Pooh’s crew is available outside of the Crystal Palace. I know about a spreadsheet that was created in 2007 with locations but there are probably changes since then. Can anyone give some insight so that I don’t waste time making pages I don’t need or so that I can make pages for characters that are now regularly available for autographs in the parks? We do have Character Breakfasts at Tusker House, Norway, and Chef Mickey. Thanks so much. I love this forum and read it quite frequently. I am an obsessive planner.

Are there characters like Lilo & Stitch, Alice, the Princes, that can be seen outside of their Character Breakfasts/Meals? I am not even sure that Pooh’s crew is available outside of the Crystal Palace.

I haven't been there since Jan 07, but we were able to meet Alice and the Mad Hatter near the Tea Cups ride in the Magic Kingdom, and the Pooh characters were available at Pooh's play area. I think the best way to meet the characters and get autographs is the Character Meals. Not waiting in line is the big advantage. You have to stop and eat anyway, and sit down meals give everyone a little break.

I didn't create my own Autograph book, but did pick up a book in Disney that had a spot for a photograph on the opposite side of the Autograph page. It doesn't hold that many autographs, but if there are some you will value more than others you can use this book for those autographs, and just get a smaller autograph book that holds more signatures.

Alice and Mad Hatter are out by the tea cups and in UK at Epcot

Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook, and Smee are out by POTC

Lilo & Stitch are out on the Adventureland Bridge in MK and by the DVC area in AK

Woody and Jessie are out by Splash Mountain. Buzz is out by his ride, sometimes Stitch is out over there too. Buzz and Woody also appear in front of TSM at DHS.

Mike and Sully appear in their area by Lights Motor Action in DHS.

Pinocchio is out front by the Exposition Hall

Snow White also is out front by Exposition Hall. Belle, Cindy, and Aurora are in the Judges Tent in Toontown, as is Tink and two other rotating fairies. Ariel is in her grotto. At Epcot, Belle and the Beast and Aurora appear in France. Marie (from Aristocats) also appears in France. Jasmine and Aladdin appear in Moracco. Mulan and Mushu appear in China. Snow White and Dopey appear in Germany. Pocahontas appears in AK at Conservation Station

The Princes are RARELY out except for Parties. That being said, Prince Naveen is appearing with Princess Tiana in Liberty Square. They are kinda hidden behind the buildings.

The Playhouse Disney guys are all out in DHS by the stage show. Mickey, The Incredibles and Frozone, Bolt, the UP characters, and the Evil Queen appear in the animation building at DHS.

Wow thanks so much! The information that you receive on this forum is great! Ok if you don't mind I do have a couple of specifics.

In HS, are there other characters than Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and I think someone said Bo at the Toy Barn? Bug's Life at HS are those characters around or are they just in the parade? Atta and Flik?

Tarzan characters at AK anymore now that the show isn't on? I see that Rafiki and Tmon are around from Lion King. Any others? We are going to Tusker House to get the regulars.

It is going to be really nice doing character meals! No line standing. Hopefully the first week of Dec. won't have tremendous lines for the other characters. Any hints or tips?

There are more, but this is an add on to the list that Tnkrbelle565 gave. All hers are right MINUS Hook and Smee. That's a new change to the characters as of last month.

-Tusker you will get Mickey, Daisy, Donald, Goofy
-Norway will get princesses. Varies a little day to day. Ususally Belle, Ariel, Cinderella are regular. Jasmine, Aurora, or Mulan vary more.
-Chef Mickey will be you Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald.

MK-
-Princesses in the tent in Town Town.
-Tink and the faires in same tent as princesses
-Ariel in Ariel's Grotto
-Buzz in Tomorrowland
-Aladdin and Jasmine in Adventureland by the Magic Carpets
-Hook and Smee do NOT appear outside of parties as of October. Sorry.
-Peter has moved to Fantasyland by Tink's Treasures. Wendy is uncommon to locate. If she IS out, she'd be with him.

Epcot
-Daisy in front of park ONLY in the mornings
-ALL other VIPs in and around the Character Spot
-Snow White in Germany
-Mary Poppins and Alice in UK
-Pooh and Tigger in the toy shop in UK
-Marie in France

Studios
-Cars by exit to Muppets
-Power Rangers Streets of America
-Up, Mickey, and Incredibles inside Animation. Any ADDITIONAL characters are at the 4:50 surpise meet and greets. Varies day to day.
-Green Army Men Pixar place

DAK
-Various in the front, only in the mornings
-VIPs in Camp
-NEW Thumper and Miss Bunny in Camp
-Pocohantas, Jiminy, and Rafiki at Rafiki's Planet Watch
-Pooh and friends at Discover Island character landing
-Baloo, Louie, Terk, and Flik on trail between Asia and Africa

Both at the same time. Also, characters HATE (esp the ones who can't see very well) signing two autographs on the same page so make separate pages for everyone.

It was SO weird when I was walking through the Pirates area and there were no characters around. I was so confused since I have been away a few months. My friend I was with who is full time filled me in on the change.

Hook and Smee appear on some kind of "pirate firework cruse" thing now that is like super expensive. You go out on 7 seas to watch Wishes with them. Something like that. I have only seen info on it once or twice.

Karpkg thanks for sharing your trip report. Your books are awesome! My books aren't going to be near as professional. I am just hoping to have more than plain white pages. Love all the tips for newbies.

Last week we saw Lady Tremaine with Anastasia and Drizella outside of the Fairytale Garden in MK. They were hilarious.
