We went to DW for first time ourselves and took our DS for his 3rd bday. We had the characters sign a picture frame matte and a pillowcase. I would love to find some new ideas for this year for the characters to sign. I was thinking of doing an autograph book, but would like something else.

Any ideas greatly welcomed.

Last year I got a plush "Stitch" for DS (then 4). We took it with us to the Ohana Lilo and Stitch character buffet and had all of the characters sign it. He still snuggles with it every night. Very cool souvenir.

We use the canvas tote bag that we got from DVC when we bought our membership. It is the LL Bean style canvas tote.
I got our last name embriodered on it and we use it to get character autographs. It iturned out really cool...everytime we go we add more to it. THe characters use sharpies and it works great. One of my favorite sentimental souvineers....

Hello!! We leave in 50 days and for my DD3 I've decided to purchase a hard cover story book for my lil girlie when we arrive... Im sure i'll find tons when we get there... A princess book would be perfect!

I'll also be trying the Photo Mat for 1st time... So Im hoping that goes well... I picked up 3 diffrent ones cause we'll be dining with Pooh and Friends and the Fab 5 at Chef Mickeys!

My DS9 is a huge sports nut... So for him I got him a large soft ball that he'll use... He's a bit older then my daughter so most likely he'll use his autograph book too...

Happy Planning!

DH is big into sports cards, so last week (after he dragged me to a sports card and memoribilia convention) I found some Disney trading cards that I'm going to temporarily mount on a small mat board for grip. It should be pretty cool!

We use an autograph book ( one of the basic ones with LOTS of pages) Then I turn the pages so that only one character sings per turn. We take photos of our son with the charcters and then when we get home I print out the photos on plain paper, so they are no so thick and make teh mwallet size and glue in on the page oposit the autograph so that now when he looks back he can see what they looked like together. It has become tradition and is fun to look back and see how much he has grown.

We did the printed cards from the DISigns board last trip and the characters thought it was cool that the kids had a "Buzz card" for buzz, a woody one for woody...etc. Then we took the Toy Story ones and framed them for my youngest son's room. The others we are sticking in a photo album once I buy it next to the picture of them w/ the character.

We haven't gone yet but I have three ideas that we will do.
1. Apron for Chef Mickey's
2. Backpack
3. Baseball (ds has a baseball "signed" by Santa and reindeer so I thought that would be cute)

bumping-just wondering for those of you who use the picture frame mat how do you travel with it around the park so it doesnt' get squished? and I think someone here mentioned a plain sharpie works well?
