My family is going 12-23 to 12-30. Thinking of bkfst at Cinderellas char bkfst. Any suggestions? I have a 8 yr old girls and 10 yr old boy. My daughter is dying to see Cinderellas castle so that is why I thought of that. Any help welcomed...:earsboy:

my only recommendation is this: Make your reservation as soon as you are able. Breakfast at the castle books up quickly and far in advance.

Good luck!!

I've read on these pages that you have to call the minute (literally) that they open up the reservation line. I don't remember if it's 60 or 90 days in advance. You can find out. It will sell out by afternoon! Good luck:D

I believe that you are able to make the PS 90 days out. My book (a 2004 edition no less) told me 60 days. So I waited til then and then was not too happy to say the least that it was now 90 days. Needless to say, I did not get a PS. Keep checking though. Disney changes things all the time.

Thanks for the advice!! I love this site. I am getting so much good advice. For those that have gone at Christmas time in the past, what are the avg temps? I live in Maine and at Christmas time it could be 20 degrees so anything will be better, but I wanted an idea on what to pack.

Yes! Definetly call for the Cinderella breakfast at EXACTLY 90 DAYS OUT! And call at exactly 7am when the dinning line opens 1-407-WDW-DINE . This breakfast sells out within minutes of the dinning line opening. I called last year right at 7am and the CM told me I had just gotten one of the last seatings for our party size. So they do get sold out that fast!

:idea:The other things to consider as back ups are :

Cinderella's character dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the GF

The princess breakfast at the Norway pavillion in Epcot

or if you just want to eat in the castle - Cinderellas royal table does do lunch and dinner but no characters for other than breakfast.

Good luck!!
:goodvibes :wizard:

Almost forgot -- Christmas time temps can go either way so pack for anything. Some days can be 70-80 degrees and then really chilly at night 30-40 and then a cold front can come thru and the very next day after it being 80 it can be more like 50 or 60:rolleyes: or it can just be warm if you luck out or more on the chilly side. Point is, it can really be crazy temp wise so if you pack for anything you'll be fine.

If this is somehting you absolutley have to do, DON'T GIVE UP.
Here's my story:
I was told to start calling ten minutes before seven at 90 days out. I did just that only to get a recording until 7. Then I was put on hold for 20 minutes. When I finally got to talk to a real human they told me they were booked! I almost got sick. I had been telling DD4 that we were eating at the castle and she would have been crushed. Anyway, when I got home from work that night, I told DW my story. I decided to call back to see if there were any cancellations. The CM on the line, very politely yet very doubtfully (I could hear it in her voice) agreed to check for cancellations.
Yep, you guessed it, there was just a cancellation and we got in. Hooray! I've heard that you're more likely to find a cancellation early in the morning but don't ever give up on your dreams!!!!

Thanks! I am going through a travel agent and she said she was going to call 9-23 (90 days before trip). I will e mail her and be sure to have her call early or ask her if she wants me to. I hear that it is best to try for the last breakfast of the day. The charaters have more time and you can get a better photo op with them. IS that true? I REALLY want to get into it for my daughter who is dying to see Cinderella. Wish me luck!!:Pinkbounc :sunny:

I have done the Cinderella breakfast twice before. I have also done the Princess breakfast in Norway, as well as the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare in the GF. Basically, all the food is the same.

If your daughter just wants to eat with Cinderella, the dinner is an option. If she wants the castle and Cinderella, then get on the phone 90 days from the day you want to have the breakfast. If you call 90 days from your trip, it won't do anything for you. Have faith and if you don't get it, call everyday. We are going to Disney in July, and I just called thed other day asking (as a joke ) if there were any cancellations. She told me no cancellations, but she did have availability for all 6 of us to eat so I booked it.

In my experience, the Princesses spend a lot of time with the kids no matter what seating you have, so get whatever time is available.

Thanks for the info. I have a 7 yr old daughter and all she keeps saying is she wants to see the castle so I thought that was the best way to do both. :wave2:

insmom,

We have been twice at New Years. The first time I was the coldest I had ever been in Florida. They were setting all kinds of records for low temperatures. We had packed one pair of long johns each in case it was chilly New Year's Eve. We wound up wearing them every single day all day long and were still cold. A trip to the Walmart found every buggy full of gloves, scarves, etc.

We went back last year at the same time and found temperatures very pleasant. My advice would be to pack for any kind of weather. You might be able to get an idea of what it will be like by checking just before you go, but I would definitely not leave all my cold weather gear at home.

Sheila

Thanks for the info.

Being from Maine any weather above 20 degrees in December is a heat wave to us!! I will be sure to stick in some sweatpants and coats, mittens.
