Hello ladies:

I have a problem.
I just received my master cd from Randy Chapman and I have tried numerous times to view it.
I can't.
For some reason my computer keeps saying no disc found.

Randy sent my pictures on a DVD-R disc.
I have a DVD player on my computer.
Why can't I view these pictures?
I even tried my regular DVD player.

Does anyone have any idea???? :worship:
Thanks
Gabrielle

Hi Gabrielle,

Try your DVD in another player/computer/PC, if the disc still does not read contact Randy because something must be wrong with the disc (sometimes when the disc is burned there is a problem "closing the job", and it may result in an incomplete burn - the PC can't see it). DVD-r means means read only.

Hope this helps!

can you tell if that dvd's even burned? viewing from the dye color. might accidently gave you a blank disc.

another tip is once u do have a working dvd....make multiple copies and store them seperately somewhere safe!! and not just make more dvds, but copy it onto a flash drive if possible too.
cd/dvd media don't last forever!

I have the same problem mine arrived last night and I can't get it to work either. Mine has deffinatly been burned but my computer is saying no disc too, in both the cd and the dvd roms. Hopefully someone knows the trick that I'm missing.

any luck with contacting Chapman's for help on this?

and any of you have cd/dvd burning software like Nero or something, there's usually a tool that you can check the status of the discs.

Hey there...I called Chapman Photography and she said she has no idea what is wrong with it and she is send me another disc.

Hopefully that one will work.
If you figure out what it is....please let me know.
Thanks
Gabrielle

Hey there:

Did you ever figure out how to view the dvd-r?
Chapmans sent me another DVD and I still can't view it.
I am able to view other dvds.
I have no idea and I'm getting so frustrated.
Please let me know.
Thanks

hm... pop it into a standalone dvd player and see if that reads it. can you try the dvd at someone else's comp?

How old is your DVD player?

DVD players that are about 4 years old or older can't play recordable DVD's.

When you arei n my computer are you able to right click on the DVD drive to open the files?

Btw, the same sort of issue might apply to the computer. If the DVD player in the computer is just a player and not a recorder, it might have the same issue.
