Just returned from a one-day trip to DL over Spring Break to find out that I will be chaperoning our school's upcoming Grad Night trip! So excited! My daughter is a senior, but I plan on hanging out with my fellow staff members that day and night.

Anyone been a chaperone for Grad Night? Besides exhaustion, what can I expect? I've been told I will be going to a "traditional" dinner at DL hosted by one of our principals, but I have no idea what else to expect.

When I've gone, each of us has been assigned an hour or 2 to sit in the chaperone section waiting for kids who are sick or in trouble. Other than that, we were able to do what we wanted with our time as long as we kept an eye out for potential problems. Sadly, my school site moved their Grad Nite to Magic Mountain in the past few years when Disney changed the way Grad Nite works. So, I haven't been since they've changed the format, but I'm guessing your rules will be similar.

I've been told now that as long as DL has your cell phone number, you no longer have to hang out in the chaperone area.

I'm curious how Grad Night works. One of the days of our trip is a GN and they said the party starts at 10pm in CA. However, CA adventure closes at 8 and DL at 9, so where do all the kids go from closing at 9 to the party at 10?
