chanukah is very early this year, thanksgiving weekend actually. My question is this:
will there be any special services or candle lighting ceremonies specifically dedicated to this holiday?

thanks, deb

Deb- Am I wrong? Isn't the first night of Chanukah Nov. 30? If it's not, I am wondering if I should bring my menorah....

I'm not Deb, but you are correct. The first night of Chanukkah is November 30th. I used this site to confirm it (since I am too lazy to run upstairs and check my calendar).

Hi everyone!

For some reason, I thought it was the 29th, but I guess it's just wishful thinking on my part! LOL!
It's a relief, actually, not having to take the gifts with us...to celebrate chanukah on the ship would be amazing though, wouldn't it!

we went last year for Chanukah and they had the cruise rabbi on board and there were services and latkes every night. The rabbi was great and we had a fun time. Bring your menorah if you want they will let you light it during the ceremony. You'll have a great time and a great holiday..enjoy....we're going back in Jan!
