? Changing your resort once you are there

My TA was unable to switch me to another hotel on Disney property. There was apparently no availability.

Does anyone know if you can ask to be switched (we would pay the difference) once you are there?

I'm sure you can do that. My supervisor at work last year switched after one day, but she went in the middle of March (not during Easter) so I guess it depends on when you are going. We are going during Easter @ Poly and have never been before...I got to pick out the resort and my dad is kind of iffy about it - so I'm SURE he will want to switch when we get there (but I hope not!)

If you are coming in right after the Marathon weekend, around the 14th or 15th, there's not a lot of availability at any of the Epcot resorts. I imagine it's because of the marathon. I wanted BCV very badly for my January trip and ended up with BWV instead (not a bad compromise really) and I've been looking at availability every since. Nothing shows up for any of the Epcot resorts. So I've counted myself lucky and stayed put.

It never hurts to ask, but I wouldn't get my hopes up until they say "yes, we have availability".

we will be at the world for the 16-23, right smack dab in the middle of marathon and MLK day. My TA tells me we can't move from POR because there is no availability. I just wondered if when we are down there, there is more of a chance of something opening up.
