The more I talk with my mom and sis, the more I am thinking about adding a day to our trip. The only problem is that we already booked airfare. Does anyone know the policy (or where I can find the policy) about moving our reservations from one day to the next?

So you've booked Southwest? You can do it with no penalties, no fees. This is why I fly them about 90% of the time - they are The Bomb. :thumbsup2

You can do it online. Basically, take your ressie number, and type your info in under Change or Review Flight. What you'll have to do is cancel your current return flight, get those credits, and apply them to rebooking your new flight. The only bummer is if the price has changed dramatically for the worse, then you'll be paying that --- when you change, you have to pay whatever the current price is, not what you paid originally.

This is why when DING fares come out for a flight I have booked, I'll cancel and rebook and get Southwest bux to use for a future flight --- never a fee, never a penalty.

:cheer2:

You don't need to cancel the reservation. Just go in and modify it. The only time you have to cancel and rebook is to get a DING fare.

Thanks guys. Sadly enough, the flight the next day is more than double what we paid so I don't think it's going to happen :sad2:. I'll keep an eye on it but I'm not holding my breath.

Oh - see! Well, that's the only time I've ever changed mine, so that makes perfect sense! Thanks! I got to learn something too!

Did you check the 'other end' of your vaca and see if you can extend it that way and what the tixs cost??
ie: add a day to the start?
or if you were trying to add to the start, try the end :)
