When we booked our flight we had 4 to choose from for the same price we picked an afternoon flight but we just decided we wanted the morning flight instead.
I went online and the prices our still the same as we paid but when I went to change reservation they were going to charge me 28$ more

Its not a big deal I was just wondering if the prices our the same why is there a charge?

The price of the fair will be the same but facility fees and etc will change if your going from a non-stop to 1 stop flight. Airlines have to charge some type of fee when landing at that airport.

I noticed that too when I was initially booking our flights. I was planning on leaving earlier but notice the facility fees we would have to pay if we had 1 stop versus our nonstop flight.

So that's probably the reason you are seeing the $28 difference. If you take a look at the fees charged on your original reservation versus the new one, you will see that fee in there.

I will look up the fees. We have 1 stop no change plane but we do stop in AZ and then onto LA the others were connecting flights where we had to change planes so that may be the difference

Yeah you will notice when look at the different stops the fees vary based on the facility.
